| Priceline hotel experiences? I am taking a trip out to the LA area next week and would like to use Priceline for my hotel, seeing as there are so many in Anaheim. I am not particularly fussy ahout where I stay, only that it be clean and a Priceline 3* or above. Has anyone done it? Diane |

| We love Priceline! We have used it for several vacations and have yet to be disappointed. Our best buy on there was The Hyatt Regency Orange County (just minutes from Disneyland with a complimentary shuttle to and from the parks) king room regular price $209 a night. We got it on Priceline for $43 a night! The room was amazing complete with fantastic views of the Fireworks!!!

| We haven't used Priceline for CA (we have our favorite and don't want to leave it to chance), but we used it for getting a room in Orlando the night before our cruise. It took a couple tries (our bids were too low the first time or two), but we got a great rate on a highly rated hotel. The only downside would be that you don't have a say in which hotel it is (for example, we wanted the hotel inside Orlando Airport, but got one that was 5 minutes away instead) - but you have pretty good parameters to set to ensure you'll be satisfied with whatever you get.

| Another thumbs up for Priceline - used it many times and never been disappointed, and always got a great room for a great rate. Since you can't pick the location, just be certain you are within certain area, you should be fine. |

| I'm having a hard time getting a Priceline room for a price I want. I am thinking I may have to wait a few more days to bid. I tend to be very cheap with Priceline -I usually pay under $50. a night. I did get my room for the first part of the trip-the Marriot my daughter's team is staying at for $58./night. I looked for it online and the lowest I could find was $136./without taxes after I got it through Priceline. Before that the lowest was $199. I think I'll wait a few days-I want Mother's Day night and there are plenty of rooms available through other websites. Thanks. Diane |

| Love PL for Anaheim! Be sure and check out biddingfortravel.com before you bid. We've been using PL for hotels in Anaheim for years and only one bad hotel, when I bid less than 3 stars. NEVER go less than 3 stars! We only bid Disneyland Area, as well. We've stayed at Crowne Plaza, the Coast Hotel, now a Sheraton, Hyatt Regency OC, Anaheim Hilton, Anaheim Marriot, Doubletree Hotel-the farthest. You have to see what the going rate for the hotels are, then bid accordingly. I'm cheap, so I start at about 1/3. They I increase every 3 days, depending on how long I have and how desperately I need the room. LOL. Biddingfor travel goes over all of the finer points of bidding. Just turned a coworker on to PL and she's been going almost every month with her AP and 2 girls. All of the hotels either have a shuttle or are on the ART system. With the money we save, we usually take a cab. LOL |

| I ended up witht he Hilton Suites, 4 miles from Disneyland for $45. I'm not sure it was the best deal, but I know I have place. It for the last night of my trip, so I wouldn't be able to bid once I left. I was hoping to get something under $40. but it's Mother's day so I didn't want to risk it. I too love Priceline and I think the Burbank hotel is the most I've paid. I especially loved it when all the kids were home and we needed two rooms. It made travel so much more affordable. On a side note, I had a great deal of trouble accessing Bidding for Travel. I don't know if it was from my end or theirs. Diane |

| From what I can tell, their rooms run at about $119-$164 a night, so I'd day you did well! Will you have a car? I didn't see where they have a shuttle to the parks.

| I have a car. Even at WDW, I need a car it's a control issue. I did read somewhere that they do haave a shuttle, though they no longer have one that is exclusive to the hotel so the hotel is one of the last stops. I am, as always, pretty pleased with my hotels. I've just gotten even better deals at itmes. Diane |

| Just tried biddingfortravel's website and noted that they are changing servers. That may be the problem. I was redirected to BiddingForTravel.com - Message Board - Yuku A suite for $45 for MD weekend? I think you did pretty good! |

| I jsut thought I'd update. I had a great experiecne at the Hilton Suites. The suite was nicely decorated, spotless and the service was excellent. I also stayed at the Marriott, Burbank Airport for $58./night through Priceline for the three nights of competition. It was a wonderful hotel with the best service I've ever experienced. Diane |

| My trip was great, although I wish I had gotten the room for an extra night, since it was so inexpensive and I was on a flight out of LA at 11:25 PM. I had planned on staying in the parks until closing at 8, but petered out at 7 and headed to the airport, getting there before 9, even with getting lost. Mother's Day evning was a little crowded but the following day was deserted at CA and not particularly busy at DL. Diane |

| Just an update, got Crowne Plaza for $60, less than half the least expensive rate online, for the end of June! Out of state friends are coming to play, and we had to make sure to visit Mickey! |
