| HYATT ANAHEIM/PARADISE POINT SAN DIEGO We want to go to California next summer as DS starts a new school in the autumn, and we want to take his mind of any worries. In the brochures we have picked out the two hotels I mentioned, but has anyone stayed there, and if so was it great or not so? We have stayed in San Diego before at a Holiday Inn that was twinned with Humphreys Half Moon Inn, but it is no longer in brochures, and we are not sure if it has been sold. Any help would be appreciated. |

| Not sure about the Holiday Inn next to Humphrey's but I think it may be another hotel now. ![]() I have not stayed at either of the hotels you mentioned, but found some reviews on Paradise Point on VirtualTourist.com that don't look to be too bad: Paradise Point Resort And Spa, San Diego, CA - VirtualTourist.com

| When we went to San Diego a few years ago, I bid on Priceline and was able to get two rooms at a Hyatt in LaJolla for $50. each. It was a beautiful hotel. I also just got back from Anaheim and got a suite at the Hilton Suites for $45. and a room at the Burbank Marriott for $58. If you are willing to take the risk, you can get a nice hotel for very little. I only bid for 3*'s and above. Diane |

Hi I live by Paradise Point it more like a resort then any thing, check out their site. But if you are going to take him to Disneyland I would do the Hyatt Anaheim because of our heavy traffic. unless you can take a train up to anaheim then catch the Anaheim shuttle to the resort.

| Hyatt My family and I stayed at the Hyatt in Anaheim last year during spring break. We had a family suite, which means there's a door between the bedroom and a second room with bunk beds. It worked out well for us. The hotel also had a shuttle to the Disneyland Resort(that it shared with another hotel) and this worked fine. The hotel is also near some restaurants and a Target where you can buy some food. We liked staying at the Hyatt. It also had a couple of pools for the kids to enjoy. |

| Hyatt's are usually very nice so would recommend that in Anaheim.... Paradise Point used to be owned by Princess cruises and I stayed there 2x and love it-- it is like a little resort but it is rather pricey though ![]()

| It not a bad place but it seem to be getting on the rundown side. I go there for lunch with friend and family at times, so last time I went I wasn't to impress with most of it.

| Hyatt San Diego Mission Bay We are planning a trip and staying at the Hyatt Mission Bay. It has just been renovated and is very close to the Paradise Point hotel but seems nicer for similar prices when you get a good rate. If you sign up for the Hyatt frequent travelers club online they send you sales and we just re-booked and got our room for almost half as much as our original AAA booking. My husband has stayed at Humprey's Half Moon a bunch of times for work and he says it's ok but the Hyatt looks much nicer and has great pools for the kids and a very nice spa if you are into that. |
