Anabella Hotel

All booked at the Anabella for three nights. Nice thing is that I found out they have a spa. Has anyone used the Anabella spa? I'm thinking a foot massage will be nice after two days of walking.

LOL! Well, I called to see how far out they took appointments. The person who answered did not understand me, but passed the phone to someone who spoke English. She said they take walk-ins, so I'm hoping to get at least one foot massage during my stay. I know my feet will need it!

Why is someone who doesn't have command of the English language answering the phone of this business? I understand, if your contact with guests is minimal and/or action driven rather than communication driven. But, communication skills is the #1 requirement of answering a phone, right?

I've tried to be gracious about Anabella, since I know they've changed management since our last stay (with poor service) with them. But this does not endear me to wanting to try them again.

I went to TripAdvisor (after our reservations were made) and read the reviews about the Anabella. There really is no middle ground. People either really like it and would stay again or really hate it and warn people away (especially from Rm 6123.)

I think with the warnings, I know what to be cautious of. Though we booked a bigger room, if something changes when we check-in, I can be informed and know where I don't want them to put us and difference in $$.
