| Help With a Choice We are going to CA for a family wedding and a 1 day trip to DL is slowly turning into 4 nights at an on property hotel. This is due to a lack of self control. Anyway, since I am booking so late it looks like I have narrowed it down a bit but can't decide. Should I do Concierge at PP, or DLH without Concierge ? I keep trying but it looks like I can no loner get Concierge at DLH or I would snag that. What do you guys think?

| Well, it depends on how important Concierge is to you. We've never done concierge and therefore don't know what we are missing - so we'd go with DLH, since it's the original and (from what I hear) is better than PP. But if Concierge will help make up for any "lacking" the rooms may have or whatnot, then PP is totally conceivable. What about Grand Californian - is it too far out of budget?

| I have never done concierge, but I would go with the DLH, myself. I like the themeing a lot better at the DLH.

| I called DL ressies directly and it turns out I can get Concierge at DLH...so the plot thickens. I have never had concierge either and kind of wanted to splurge. The one think I don't want to do is have to worry about getting to and from the park and it taking time like I feel it does at WDW...so that was why I was trying to stick on property. I am having a hard time deciding. And GC doesn't seem so out of budget when you have added concierge to the other hotels...lol.

| I would also add that imho all 3 of the Disney hotels are close to the Parks. Grand Californian is definitely closest since it has direct access into DCA. DLH is a short walk to the monorail which takes you into the heart of DL, not just the main entrance. It's also just a slightly longer walk from DLH through Downtown Disney to get to the main entrance for both DL and DCA. i think you just need to decide if the concierge splurge is worth it, hehe. If it were me, I'd go concierge at DLH just because I love the idea of it. |
