| We just got back from DL a couple days ago and we stayed at DLH and the whole trip was awesome. We have been to WDW many times, so it was a great change and there are a lot of things to like. But, I will say the Monorail was not smooth or efficient at all. We were in the Dreams tower at DLH, and we were able to walk from the hotel into DL and to Carnation Cafe in 13 minutes. Me and two kids (6 and 9). We had one smooth monorail transition, only one. Often, there would be just one train running, with the other ones being 'tested', pulling up empty and leaving empty. And often we waited for 25 minutes and would give up and walk it. One time we sat there with the train full of passengers just loaded, we had to wait for that train to leave and come back (10 minute loop or so)...but it sat there for 15 minutes...loaded with people waiting to go to DL. They said it was in a holding pattern. I would say hands down it was the most frustrating part of the trip. We ended up leaving. It seems pointless to wait when we can walk it in under 15 minutes. Also, it takes about 3 minutes to get from the hotel(Dreams Tower) to the station in DTD, IMO very close. Last, one time we had about 2 hrs and 15 monutes to go back to the hotel from DL and rest and then go to dinner at CA. We went to catch the monorail in the park and ate up 45 min of our free time just waiting for it to take us to DTD. It just wasn't efficient. I think it would be awesome with more than one train running though.

| Unfortunately, a lot of WDW travellers are used to the monorail being a mode of transportation. While the DLR monorail can be used as transportation, it is (as others have noted) more of an attraction. We might take the monorail from Tomorrowland to get to DTD if we are going to DLH, but only if there's not a line, since we know that it doesn't save any time, just the walking. Most of the time, we only take it so the kids can go on it. But since a lot of people are used to it as a means to get from A to B, and have a certain expectation, they are ultimately disappointed in the experience. I try to think of it like the train in the park....yeah you can take it to get somewhere, but that's not the point of its existence. That saves me from getting frustrated about it.

| We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel last month, and at that time, the monorail was very sporatic. Our first night at Disneyland the park was open until midnight but since we were tired from driving in that day, we left the park around 10:30. We waited on line for the monorail to go back to the DLH, and waited and waited. Seemed there was a problem with one monorail train, and they had to take it out of service and we had to wait at least 30 minutes for the train that was in the Tomorrowland station to make it's round. If we weren't so tired, we would have walked back faster. The second day we went to California Adventure Park, so we couldn't use the monorail and it's a good thing because it was out of service all day. The next day we went back to Disneyland and had no problems with monorail service. |

| Just got back from DL...and my family used it as transportation. We stayed at GC and it was less of a hassle getting into the parks (no line usually) and getting out of the parks if you were in the Tomorrowland area. Definitely cut down on the walking especially carrying a 2 & 4 year olds. We even got to ride one of the new monorail trains...I guess they were testing it out... |

| They been testing that new thing out for awhile now, so is it ready for the public or not? And no The Monorail at DL is not a transportation means like as it is at WDW. At WDW it act like a trolley were you can ether sit or stand but it much cleaner than a trolley and wider than DL. DL is a bit smaller and shorter. It fun to ride it but don't be in a hurry.

| Now after just returning from our first ever trip to WDW and riding on their monorail, I can totally agree with what one CM at the Transportation Center told me. The monorail at WDW is mainly for transportation while the monorail at DLR is more of an attraction. If you rely on DL's system to get you to any more that just TWO stations, for get it. It won't happen. But as it was said earlier, if you are in the Tomorrowland area and want to get to DTD rather quickly, then the monorail is your answer. If you want to get to CA, walk, it might be faster. |

| very true, plus if you use a wheelchair like me you have to back into the monorail so it be easier to go at the next stop.
