| Off-site hotels Ok, I am thinking WAY ahead since we won't go until 2010, but I am a huge planner and that is half the fun, right? We stayed at the Candy Cane Inn the last time we went, and we LOVED it! I was wondering about the Carousel Inn or Tropicana Inn. If you find a place you love, would you stay there again or try somewhere new? Anyone love the Carousel or Tropicana? Thanks for your input!!

| We always seem to try something new. Maybe that's because we haven't found anything we really liked. But, I haven't stayed at any of the places you listed. Keep us posted on what you decide though!

| Of the offsite, Candy Cane definately outranks them all, including your other two choices.

| Tink ~ We were quite fond of the CCI. Loved it, actually. It's nice to hear someone else feels the same way.

| To stay just across the street from the park you give up some things. We've stayed at the Best Western Park place and the Carousel Inn and found them to be about a two star quality. The room we stayed in at Carousel was dreary, the carpet had seen better days, the a/c was loud and made the room muggy. The bed was OK. The window coverings are shutters and I'm not a huge fan of them. Also, no free wi-fi. The Best Western is similar, the room was a bit larger and had a "sitting area" which was nice. Has free wi-fi but it wasn't working 3 of the 4 days we were there. I must say I'm not a fan of motels that have outside doors, they seem to be noisier. One of our favorite hotels near the park is the Howard Johnson's, just seems cleaner than all the others and has inside doors. We are thinking of trying the CCI for our next visit because everyone we know likes it, and I like the fact that it has its own shuttle.

| How long of a walk is it for the CCI? (someone who will be walking with a stroller, mind you...) For those who've used the shuttle service, does it run pretty regularly in the off season? Was it a hassle? How often did you have to wait for it coming and going?
