| Candy Cane Inn or Paradise Pier I'm trying to decide where to stay on our Fall getaway trip to DLR. It'll be just my best friend and me, and it'll cost about the same to stay either place. I'm leaning towards Paradise Pier at this point, since I can book it as a package, and that's just easier. The package gets us a few freebies, and we've never stayed there. Any opinions? I'd love to stay at the Grand, but it's just too expensive to justify... ![]()

| I like to be on park property so I would pick Paradise Pier. I've stayed there, the walk to CA is not bad because you cut through the Grand and then hop over to DL. The character breakfast there is easy to get into and is pretty good. |

| Check if the package (if you stay at PP) offers that Toontown morning greeting. It's exclusive to packages, from what I understand, so that could be a big plus - if money's not too different between the two. We usually don't stay on property because there's too much of a difference between those and our fave (BW Park Place). We were tempted, however, to stay at DLH when we got a PIN that matched the dates of our already planned trip - it brought the price down quite low, but only for a few of the days.

| When we booked a package and stayed at the Candy Cane Inn, we got Toontown Morning Madness AND early entry. They came with the CCI since it is a good neighborhood hotel. Another thing to think about is the CCI has a free continental breakfast each morning, is an easy walk, free parking and a free shuttle to the park. Just something to think about. |

| Candy Cane Inn is not available for the dates I want package-wise, so I'd have to do everything seperately. I decided to give Paradise Pier a try. Then I will have tried all three Disney Hotels there. It's booked, and we're all ready to go. :taps foot: Just waiting now... Of course now I'm toying with an upgrade to concierge or Grand Calfornian...I told DH I couldn't justify the cost difference, and he said he didn't think it was "that much difference." So, hmmm...

| Since you haven't tried it yet, I'd go for the trifecta and get concierge at PP. That way, you can say you've been to all three....and if you don't like it as much, it gives you an excuse to plan another trip for either Candy Cane or back to Grand Cali (or both!).
