I've done DL on my own too, the flight is easy, just bring something along to do. Once you're there it's no problem at all (I stayed on property on all my solo trips) it's Disney, you'll get that "I'm home" feeling and all will be well.

I've been to WDW numerous times by myself, so when I bought DVC and got the developer points I booked a trip to Disneyland for this May. I have to admit I am a bit nervous but I've read up on Disneyland on this board and on the Dis boards and have compiled a lot of information
I have enough rapid rewards for a free trip with Southwest and I am going from PHL to LAX. I know alot of people say to go into SNA but the flights into LAX were better times and only had one stop. I plan to arrive late Saturday afteroon will be staying one night at the Fairfield Inn on Harbor Blvd on my Marriott points. I figure I can rest a bit when I arrive and then head over to Disneyland to just kind of take it easy and get my bearings. The next day I'll transfer over to the Disneyland hotel and then on to the parks. I am hoping to go take a Grayline tour and go to the San Diego Zoo one day too.
My plan is to use either the Disneyland Express bus or Super Shuttle to and from the airport, round trip for either is about $30.
I'll stock up on some books to read on the flight and perhaps even borrow my son's portable DVD player and watch a movie or two.
So I'm prepared, and hopefully all will go as planned.

Wink Stick to the mainstream

around Disneyland and you'll have the time of your life. West Coast people are a different breed. I know.......born in San Diego.....moved to PDX area in '72.....transplanted to PA in '03. You'll be fine on your own. SW is a great airline for getting east to west or vice versa. I have always had good flights with them.

I hold a special place in my heart for DL because it is the original. I understand it has changed drastically since I was there last and I hope to take my sons there sometime soon. If you have a chance to go to San Diego Zoo you will NOT be disappointed. It totally rocks! If you can try to hit the Wild Animal Park as well. My parents were members of the zoo and say the WAP is as good if not better than the zoo.

Enjoy your trip!

Bee, I think there is enough of us Passporters who live out here near enough to DL who would welcome the chance to show a 'newbe' DL'er around. Just let us know what dates you plan on being out here and I am sure that one or more of us could find the time to assist you in having a grand time at the ORGINAL Disney. Oh and I am sure that this offer would extend to any and all who plan to come to DL for the first time.
