| I have, and I survived! I did it about 4 years ago when I attended a Teachers conference in Anaheim. I flew Jet Blue out of New York City, direct to CA. I took Super Shuttle from the airport to my hotel. It was a long flight for me, but I made it. I did take the "Red Eye" on my trip home, and I will not do that again. I prefer a day flight. I stayed at what was the Coast Anaheim Hotel (it is now something else, I just can't remember at the moment) right on the stretch. When I checked in, they actually had me in a lower floor room. Because I was by myself, I asked for a higher floor and they gave me one no problem. I did attend teacher stuff until about 4:00 each day, but after that, I went back to the hotel (I could walk to the hotel from the convention center) and then off to the park each afternoon. I was a walkable distance away, did walk to the park once and never felt unsafe as there were so many other people walking also. However, I did purchase a pass to the transit trolley/bus that picked up at several different hotels and then transported you to the parks. I loved Disneyland and never felt unsafe or out of place there by myself. I hope to return in 2010. I would stay at what was the Coast Anaheim again. Many people have stayed at the Candy Cane Inn and it gets great reviews. Let me know if you have any questions.

| You might 'bee' able to talk janicelovesmickey into a trip, but I think she only goes to DLR once a year...

| I've never made a trip expressly to go to Disneyland, but I have flown cross-country on business many times, and have gone to Disneyland twice by myself when I was in Southern California for other reasons. If you want to do it, I'd say go for it. As Kathy said, the area is busy and well-lit and feels very safe. There are many hotels within walking distance, and many more with frequent shuttles. I don't know what flight schedules are like, but if you can, you might want to fly into Orange County/John Wayne Airport or Long Beach rather than Los Angeles -- those airports are much smaller and easier to navigate than LAX. Happy planning! Melissa

| I'm in a wheelchair and I feel safe at DL and we (mother and step-father) always stay off property but I normally go off on my own into the parks and it is great> In two weeks on the 26-27 I will be going solo to meet up with my cousin and her kids. but I also think they will go back to the hotel early to put the kids to bed so I will go do thing on my own for awhile before I head to the hotel. Yes I ended up stay at the same hotel as my cousin. So go solo and enjoy just you and have fun.

| I live in Portland, Oregon & I have done the cross-country trip to Disneyworld by myself a couple of times. Other than the flight being long & boring it's not too bad. I've also done Disneyland a couple of times by myself. I never felt weird about being there by myself or walking back to the hotel after dark. In fact I will be there March 9-13 for another solo trip. When will you be there?

| I did it back in Spring 2007. 4 day trip. I went with Delta and with the time changes still arrived early in the day to visit DL on my first day. I flew into John Wayne Airport and took a SHuttle bus that dropped me off in front of the Hotel I was staying at which was the Tropicana. I was the only person on the bus in the AM. The Parks were right across the street. 5 minutes if that. My second time I had 3 kids with me ( 14 & 16) and we stayed at the Howard Johnsons it was about a 10 minute walk from the Parks. If you stay there book a room with a park view, But if you don't ask for a room not facing the freeway. Have fun It was a blast

| I have flown alone and toured DLR alone but not in the same trip. Both experiences were PEACEFUL!!! There are plenty of people in an airplane/airport and I never felt alone. The tour of the parks was plenty entertaining! Many of the rides allow single riders to jump ahead and I rarely waited in a line. It was awesome... Have a great trip! |

| Those who are in a wheelchair please double check you taxi vans rule. Yellow Cab do not stick with there rules on weekends. Ask your hotel to work with you on it. I had trouble with them trying to get back to the train station. That the only down fall traveling alone if you use a powerchair.

| 2 years ago I flew out solo, but did meet up with a bunch of passporters once there. I would go solo in a heartbeat though, if I could afford another trip that is. I have done WDW solo numerous times and don't see why I wouldn't DL.
