| Re: Grand California Hotel You can, or I should say you could, as it has been a couple years since I was there, watch the fireworks from the concierge lounge. When the fireworks started, they'd turn down the lights, turn up the sound, so you could both see and hear the fireworks. Then kick back, have something to drink, have something to eat, as for myself, I wouldn't even try to watch the fireworks while inside the theme parks anymore. |

| You will love it. I stayed there for the first time in 2007 and absolutely fell in love with the hotel. The archetecture (sp) reminds me of the lodges we have here in the Pacific Northwest. It is so beautiful. The beds are so comfy that it was really hard to get up in the morning. Being so close to the parks is really the best. We took my gram and it was so nice to be able to come back in the middle of the day and rest, then be able to hop right back in. You will really enjoy your stay. Have fun and don't forget to use the pools. |

| My DW and I have stayed at the GCR twice, each time on the Concierge Level, and wouldn't have traded the experience for anything. By all means, go to the Lounge in the evening and go out on the patio and watch the fireworks while sampling the wine and other food they have to offer. The two times we stayed there we partook of thier morning, high noon and evening offerings and had the best time of our life. |

| DH and I had a quick trip to LA a few weeks ago and he suggested we stay at the Grand Californian for the one night we had free from obligation. It was fabulous!! We had a king room with a pull-out couch. There's a mini fridge in the room, and a lovely flat panel tv. Robes in the closet were generous and comfy. Most delightful. Can't wait to plan an exended stay next time we're on the west coast!! Enjoy your stay!! Lisa

| We plan on staying at the GCH when we go back (not concierge), so I'll look forward to seeing what you think about it. We went into the lobby last time we were there. It is just gorgeous. Have a wonderful time!

| No experience with conceirge, but... If you have a need for great coffee in the morning, be sure to visit the Hearthstone Lounge. Take it back to your room, relax there or take it on the run. On a cool evening, the fireplace is a great place to get warm and relax. By all means catch the storyteller there in the evening. You will get wet on Grizzly River Run, so we made it our last ride of the day and we were only wet, cold & uncomfortable for a matter of minutes. Great selection of food...including White Water Snacks. AND you couldn't ask for a better location at DL or WDW! You'll have a great time!

| I've stayed twice, in a park view room. I overlooked Grizzly Rapids, I loved that location and was lucky to get it both times. I loved the sound of water all day. It empties out at night, and an hour before opening they would put the water back in. I loved watching the water flow through the ride for the first time every day, it was quite a sight. It is a great place to stay.

| Sorry but NO. The wall safes are smaller than a normal laptop, at least they were in the two rooms we stayed in. You can also call them direct at (714) 635-2300 and ask them as well. If I were you and wanted to take a laptop, I'd go to a local outlet like Best But and purchase a security cable or go to this link LAPTOP USE (U.S.) and purchase it from there. That is what we did, for her laptop and mine as well. Best Buy would be you least expensive. As the article at this link says, 99% of all laptops have a Kensington Security slot and that is all that is needed. Of course you can always drop your laptop off at the main desk and have them lock it away for you but that can become a hassle over time. To be truthful, I don't think you need worry about thieft as any of the Disney Resorts, here in Calif or in Fl alike. |

| Thanks, Bill. This is smaller than a regular laptop but sounds like it still wouldn't work. Good advice on the cable. Good to know. Thanks again! Kathy
