| Anaheim Marriott or Desert Inn & Suites? My wife got a great rate at Anaheim Marriott for April 2nd and 3rd because she is a travel agent. It will be $113 and change total for the two nights ($49 per night), including taxes. However, I know it isn't extremely close to the parks. In addition, they charge $20 per day for parking which adds another $40 to the price of staying there (now up to $153) and because we have two kids (10 and 4), we don't really want to have to walk that far so ART would be a necessity which will add another $26 for the four of us for two days. That takes the total to stay there up to $179. I checked in to Desert Inn & Suites and discovered I can stay there for $233 total for the two nights including taxes. Parking is free and the proximity right across the street means walking to and from the parks is easy and quick. My question is, do you all think it is worth it to spend the extra $54 dollars for the convenience of staying right across the street? I know the Marriott is rated higher than the Desert Inn & Suites but we won't be spending tons of time in the room because we will only have two days in the parks. Opinions? | Desert Inn rooms are pretty basic. But I just love the location, it's just too wonderful to be able to walk across the street, go a little to the right, and be at your hotel. I think, if you are not hotel snobs, you will be ok going with DI. Like you said, you won't be spending much time there. I have already made 3 reservations in the future for 2009. (And I had a 2 day stay in January.)

| Desert Inn's parking is not good - though if you're just parking and leaving it there, you should be fine. We had issues with it because we were getting a family suite, but they would only offer us 1 parking space. We made a stink and they caved. But, it's really basic, like disney777 said. They aren't so much suites as they are 2 rooms connected (but you only have one outside access door). We tried it once and decided we'd do better with 2 connecting rooms in another hotel instead.

| Parking does stink at DI, but I go in the morning, and we don't move the car during our stay. A lot of the hotels in this area have the parking problem. The room type I try to get is Family Suite B. It is basically 2 rooms, with 2 bathrooms, 2 microwave, 2 fridges, 2 doors leading to the outside. The other suite rooms give you a separate living room with a 3rd TV. But it has only 1 door leading to the outside. and 1 microwave and fridge.
