Well I will tell you this, my room at DLH was a very large room, and the bathroom had a very nice lay out. The draw back staying on property was that DLH is not that close to the main gate. You have to have a room key, a ticket and then your room charge slip to pay for something instead of one key like at Disney World. But its nice to get into the parks early, special "guest" around the hotels, there are special tours in DCA I found out about.

szubieta - thanks! That is a great link with a great map. That will be most helpful.

HeatherD - bummer, I can't see the pic. Capt Kidd's is bad? Okay, I'll make a note to not eat there.

Oh ya, take Hearthers word on Captn' Kidds. To rate them on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the worse, I,myself, would have to go out on a limb and give them a -5. Oh ya, the price is fairly good but compaired to the food, you should expect a large amount back in 'change'. How they keep their 'rating' is beyond me.

When we were there in August, they were still issuing slips for room charges, when we went back in October, they finally came around and you could charge on your room key. I don't know about tickets though because we bought park hoppers from AAA prior to arriving at Disneyland.

All three Disney hotels are very nice, however just like most have said, the GCH is our favorite. Not only because of the beauty and feel of the resort, but mostly because of the proximity to the parks and of course DTD. We love just walking out of the hotel to the fun restaurants of DTD and a really pretty walk to DL. The private entrance to DCA is pretty sweet too. We have stayed in all but the concierge level of rooms and they all have their benefits. We have also stayed in all three of the hotels and they each do have their charm, but for us it is DGCH all the way!

Thanks for the links for the cheaper hotels. I can't afford the deluxe (single mom here), so those other hotels will be great, especially as they are pretty close. We walk alot anyway, so a few blocks won't be any big deal.

They would all be considered deluxe; I've only stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, but looking around at the others, the Disneyland Hotel (for me) is the most "Disney" themeing. The Grand Californian (staying there in Sept for the first time) reminded me of the Wilderness Lodge, and is located in the California Adventure Park and is the closest in walking distance to Disneyland and Downtown Disney.
