i'm about to book through expedia eden rock hotel with a car for less then $500 for nov7-14... is this too good to be true???
I haven't booked yet I plan on doing by the end of today just making sure I'm getting a good price/hotel...
I'm not sure. I don't like their website, since it's a single page and no pictures or anything. I found it by searching Eden Rock Anaheim, but discovered it's Eden Roc. This is important because it tells me it's not the same as the Eden Rock hotels that came up for places like St. Barts and such.
If you plan on walking, it's a bit on the "far" side. since you'll have to go up to Katella and then up to DTD (or cut through Grand Californian). And if you're driving, then you'll have to consider parking costs. It's certainly a walkable distance, but I've stayed on Katella before and it's daunting at the end of the day when I'm really tired.
Yeah, I don't know. The place we stay is more than $100/night (though it's right across the street) and I don't know if they even have rooms - it's Best Western Park Place Inn. Good luck!
i believe i'm booked at eden roc for D23 expo. only because it's next to the convention center and got it for $47 a night. other than those reasons, I personally wouldn't have even considered it.
This hotel gets a fairly good review on tripadvisor.com. I like Trip Advisor because it gives you honest reviews from those who have stayed there. You might give it a try before you make your final decision.
Bee, double check Paradise Pier. I just entered your dates for their package (4 nights/4 day hoppers) and it popped up an offer for all 7 nights for 2 adults for $1355 - this includes 7 nights, 6 day hoppers, early morning entry (1), Toontown Morning Madness.
We just switched to Paradise Pier for our December trip because of this package. It only added about $150 to our ressie at Best Western Park Place and we figured this is as good a chance as any to check out the Disney resorts. Of course, now DH is saying, "Honey, it's only $200 more to stay at DLH" so I need to remind him that it's $350 more than our original price. It's easy to keep stepping up in little increments! Perhaps I should let him...maybe we could end up at the Grand Californian! LOL
thanks for the advice but after talking with hubby (hes not a disney fan! - and yes we are still married LOL ) I booked Eden Rock... Thanks for your advice and tips I just can't do it financially right now its either stay at a hotel near disney or not go at all ... and since I promised myself I would do something different every year for my birthday I'm going... Now the planning what to do!
ok, so on eden roc, having just stayed there... it is kind of a fleabag. it's not horrible, but... it's not an immaculate place either. the wifi which i did pick up in my room (but not all rooms can get it) was pretty weak when it worked. i really had to spend most of my time in the 'lobby' to use it.
that said, the staff was exceptionally nice.
however. all the real food options were on the opposite side of the convention center.
as i said before, I'd never stay here if I were going to disneyland. and i think i'd have to opt for trying the red lion or something else on the opposite side of the convention center going forward.
