No, didn't stay at the DVC Villas, but we were just at the Grand Californian and in spite of some reports that the pool cabanas wouldn't happen around the new Mariposa pool, we noticed that they are, indeed, happening now.

I am waiting to see if anyone before us posts reviews.
We are booked to stay in a Studio for a few days around New Years Eve. I can't wait! We have toured the models but I know the real thing will be soooooo much better.

Just got back from our first stay at the Boardwalk Villas - am so hooked I'm interested in booking a GC Villa. Wonder if they'll ever have the great rates we just got? Probably not since there are so few.

Okay, whoever stays there first must post pics!

We stayed in a 2 BR in December and they are just gorgeous. There are still a few kinks - the dishwasher broke down and one of the toilets had to be cleared, but it is still an incredible place to stay. One major drawback is that most of the rooms are facing where the new water festivity will be by Califonia Screamin' in DCA. When it's done, it will be a perfect view. But right now, it's a nasty looking construction site. Construction goes late into the night. The villa we were in overlooked the "Damn Bear Ride" as DW calls it and it's a fabulous place to stay. Nothing at WDW can touch it

BEYOND MY WILDEST DREAMS!!!!!!!

So I can now answer my own post as we just returned from our very first vist with DVC. The villa's at the GC are wonderful. Our 1bdr overlooked the pool area. It was so great to have my own bedroom. The kids had to switch off from the pull out sofa to the murphy bed. THey thought it was so cool. I have to say, all the beds were fantastic. Best pull out sofa I have ever layed on. I will try to post a true trip report once I have a chance to breath from being home. All I have to say is if you have the means or opportunity to stay here DO IT!!! IT WILL NOT DISSAPOINT YOU.
