Park Vue, Carousel, or BWPPI

This is my first time posting, so I'd like to start with a "HELLO!"
Well, last year we stayed at Howard Johnsons and we LOVED it. But this year, my DD7 said she didn't want to walk all the way to the park and back. So I'm debating on Park Vue Inn, BWPPI, or Carousel Inn. Anyone have any advice on these properties? And how are the rooms compared to Hojos? Clean rooms, comfy beds are what we're hoping for. I spend hours researching and can only find conflicting info. I f anyones stayed at these hotels, I'd love your input. Which is the cleanest with the best beds? Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the boards!

My personal favorite is the Carousel. I really like the size of the standard rooms there and found the beds to be very comfortable. I also like that it is a little bit farther down Harbor Blvd, so it isn't quite *as* noisy as other propertes down the street (near the crosswalk into DL property) can be sometimes. The rooftop pool is nice as well. The only "negative", really, is that due to people coming and "abusing" the proximity to the parks, they have had to start charging for parking over the past few years so if you have a car with you, it is $9 extra per night (plus, a tip for the valet every time you drive your car and return it) and it is all valet parking, no self parking.

I have stayed at the Park Vue Inn as well before but it was a few years before they did a major overhaul on it and I have heard that it is really great now (it wasn't in 2005! LOL) I am not sure if they knocked out any walls at the Park Vue during the remodel but when I stayed there, we found the room VERY tiny and it wasn't too comfortable for 4 people. It is very convenient, though, as far as the walk on to DL property since the crosswalk is "right there" as you walk out of the parking lot. We had a room close to the office/front desk (and therefore closer to the road) and found it to be a little noisy for our liking (plus, with the crosswalk right there, it got pretty busy). I would imagine, though, that if you requested a room further back in the property, it would be a little quieter. DD also didn't like that you had to walk across the parking lot to the pool.

Hope this helps some!

I'm glad you posted. I was just wondering/researching the same thing yesterday! Isn't the Tropicana right in there, too? Or are you purposely excluding that one?
I have no experience with those hotels, but both the Park Vue and the Carousel have suites with separate sleeping areas, if that's important to you. (It is to us--my children love the HoJo suites with the bunk bed and sleeper sofa, and I like having a separate bedroom.)

I spent DAYS researching these hotels but still I haven't decided! I thought about the Tropicana but as for reviews, the Park Vue, Carousel, and Best Western seem to have the best. The rooms look the nicest in Carousel, so I was leaning toward that, but then I read all these reviews that state the rooms were nothing like the pictures on their website... The reason I'm so obsessed about the rooms is because I had a BAD experience and I def. DO NOT want to go through that again with my child with me.
If you have a large family, there are family suites but they seem to fill up quick! Anyway, any info would be greatly appreciated.

We've stayed at both park vue and bwppi and liked them both. Of the two, I would choose park vue. We've stayed there since the renovations and found the rooms to be very comfortable. They have several layouts to choose from including rooms with bunkbeds...and we find them a very good value based on location and room comfort. We also had really good customer service from the front desk. We are planning a trip for October and that's where we plan to stay again.
