Radisson Hotel Maingate - Anaheim Has anyone ever stayed here? This is one of the hotels that we are looking at for our stay in February and I haven't seen any reviews about it. According to the site I am going through, it is a moderate type hotel. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

| Re: Radisson Hotel Maingate - Anaheim I haven't stayed there, Dawn, but it looks like a pretty nice hotel from the outside. It's kind of convention, feely though. I think I've stayed at every other hotel on Harbor however! If you're looking for a moderate here, I'd recommend the Candy Cane Inn. It is my absolute favorite. So clean, pretty, and festive. They serve a great, free, continental breakfast, and they have an exclusive shuttle to the parks. Sometimes, I prefer it to the Disney hotels! They're a Good Neighbor hotel, but you can also reserve direct on their website. Here's the link... Candy Cane Inn Have fun planning! | Re: Radisson Hotel Maingate - Anaheim I can second the Candy Cane Inn--we had a great stay there! Can't help you with the Radisson though, except to say what zacksmom said! If you can do it the Grand Californian is the best though...ahhh, can't wait to go back there! |

Re: Radisson Hotel Maingate - Anaheim I third the Candy Cane Inn. It is family owned and just the prettiest hotel. You can just walk by it and smell all the flowers from the sidewalk. It's lovely!! And everything is really clean. EVERY morning they had groundskeepers out sweeping up the fallen flower petals and watering all the plants. Edited to add: it's all very quiet. We were on the bottom floor and right next to the housekeeper's storage area and we never heard a thing!

Re: Radisson Hotel Maingate - Anaheim Actually we are staying there in a couple weeks. (Dec. 28-30) We are using Radisson points because we have so many from my husband's travel for work. Obviously free nights ruled out any other choice for us, but I'd be happy to report back to you when we return home on Jan. 2.

Re: Radisson Hotel Maingate - Anaheim It's likely that you've already made your lodging decision, but just wanted to keep my promise and report back on our stay at the Radisson Maingate hotel. The only downside to the rooms was the double beds. They were comfortable, but there are four of us, so there was a lot of sheet-stealing going on at night! Also, the shower had a difficult time deciding what temperature it wanted to be. Got a few steam burns. Other than that, the employees were very nice, and the housekeeping staff kept the room very clean. Plan to do laundry elsewhere, as there are only two washing machines for the many families at the resort to share. I had to get up at 5 am to get my wash done, and it cut short my evening at Disney because I was so wiped out by 8 pm~ The food discounts I have read about did apply, however, the prices on the menu are so marked up (like $25 for a Ceasar Salad with chicken) that the 15 - 30 % discount for guests of the hotel seemed like a ruse to me. All in all, we were not really there much, as the parks take up the whole day. It was a pleasant and clean hotel for the most part. On the morning I did early laundry I headed down to the lobby for a cup of coffee in the cafe, and it was not yet open. There was a wonderful gentlemen behind the desk who went and got me a cup of coffee with cream on the house, and reimbursed me the $1 I lost in the soap machine out of his own wallet! Hope this helps. Have fun in February!
