Is 3 days enough time?

Ok we are visiting California in December and are planning to tour the parks on December 8, 9, and 10, a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, is this enough time to visit all the attractions? We are flying in on Saturday the 6th, arriving around 4pm, and plan to explore the area on the 7th, but could add Disney time if need be... We are hoping to go to all the attractions and have at least one sit down meal a day. Any help is appreciated!

It should be fairly quiet then, especially since you will be avoiding the weekend. I think you'll be fine. I would plan to spend an entire day at Disneyland and most of a day at CA. The third day you can hit whatever you missed or do your favorites over again.

I agree. I think three days is plenty of time to hit it all. Everyone comes in for Christmas. We were there the 20 thru 23rd. We seen and hit everything, the next week, DL was sold out for 4 days straight. I think your timing is perfect.

I would even say 2 days will be enough-- one day at each park as it should not be crowded during that week you are visiting. That can free up one day to do something else in Southern California besides Disney. There is alot to see in Southern Calif. and Knotts Berry Farm is also close by for a 1 day visit if you think you want to stick to Amusement Parks

I think that 3 days are plenty. My DH and I did that a few years ago and it was the perfect amount of time. Have fun we want to head back that way soon.

3 days is our favorite length of time to visit the parks. We usually do our sit down meal at lunch when it is less crowded and less expensive and takes up less of your touring time. We love DL at christmas time! Enjoy your trip!

Three days is good depend on what time you come in, on day one if it is before 12 you should go to CA AD that afternoon then do Disneyland it self on day two. If you are flying out at 3 or so do Downtown Disney all that is is like a mall for Disney and it is smaller then the one at Disney World.

Be aware that the rumor is that the 8th and 9th are CAST Party days and the park will close at 6pm. Check the Calendar but I have heard that these are the dates.

I might just be a maniac but we did both parks in 13 hours on Memorial Day weekend Saturday (sounds like an equation- 1 fanatic, 2 lollygaggers, 3 kids...2 parks 13 hours = exhaustion!). So...you should be good!
Enjoy!

I'm going to be there for 3 days or so in September. Sunday Sept. 7 - Wed. Sept. 10th.
Should I expect the same thing?

They are indeed closing at 6 those days, however DCA is open until 9. In the past, this is what we've done:
Thursday - all day at MK (open until 8)
Friday - all day at DCA (open until 9, since it's a Friday)
Sat - MK until 3 or 4, when it gets crazy, and over to Goofy's Kitchen for dinner.
Sun - half day or so hitting what we missed before heading home.

This year, we changed things around without knowing about the cast parties. However, this is what we figured, after thinking about it:
Sat - Goofy's Kitchen
Sun - all day at MK (open til midnight, so until kid's collapse)
Mon - all day at DCA (open 'til 9 becaue of MK closing early)
Tues - back to MK (open until 6, when we normally leave MK at 3 or 4 on our 2nd day and we can still go to DCA)
Wed - half day hitting what we missed before heading home.

So, looking at it, we realized we are actually getting more hours that our normal trip in the parks.

Not in terms of closing that early, but you will have the Fall hours (not midnight every night like in summer). But it's still very doable to do DLR in 3 days - 1 day in each park and then a final day either splitting (plan it out and hit DL early and then hit DCA when it opens, then perhaps back to DL) or just MK.
