| Okay, I know that Dinosaur (nee CTX) was taken from the mechanics of Indy. Several people (and myself) believe that Indy is "rougher". Opinions here? Particularly valuable would be those lucky enough to hit both in a very short period of time. For instance, I know that one can ride Dinosaur at park opening in AK, then be on Indy before dinner Also, I seem to remember that Indy was a "multioption" ride, with, I think, three "options" that the ride computer would/could pick. Truth? Or just brain cells damaged from too many coasters?

| I think Indy is actually less rough than Dinosaur - that's my experience with it. I remember hearing that the computer can pick options for this ride, but having only ridden it twice, it seemed pretty similar both times to me. ![]()

| I haven't ridden Dinosaur (I'm guess that's at WDW). Indy, though, I've ridden many times. It is a bit rough...and although when the vehicle enters the ride there are 3 tracks it can "choose", we've been on all three tracks and really haven't noticed any difference. |

There is only 1 track--- the doors swing to give you the appearance that you can go thru 3 different tracks but really only 1 track all the time.... found this out on micechat which has a lot of DL fanatics and some techies ![]() I thought Dinosaur was rougher but only rode that once...

| You always go through those doors, but there are options on the ride that vary, from where the car "stalls" to where it turns its' headlights on to what Indy says, etc. I remember thinking that Indy is rougher, when I went on Dinosaur for the first time 13 months ago. But it's got some really cool things in it that Dinosaur doesn't have. The Dinosaur car itself was based on Indy, but not the layout of the ride itself. (By the way, 40 inches gets you on Dinosaur, you have to be 46 to get on Indy)

| Uh, yeah. I was wondering about that myself! ![]() You get a rougher ride in the back row, smoother in the front. It's less rough first thing in the morning, and seems to get rougher as the ride "warms up". I've had some pretty wild rides towards the end of the day. The "different" rides have to do with small nuances, as in which of the 3 doors you go through, the different phrases coming out of Indy, etc... But it still is the same track, it just varies in other things.

| I think they're about equal, but I have never ridden the rides in the same year much less the same day/week/month

| I've been on both within 2 weeks of each other before and I think they are about the same roughness but in different ways. I think Indy has more quick turns and sudden stops which might be why the height requirement is higher. Indy is all the same ride after going through the initial doors.

| My work went to DW this year for a big event and I was able to spend time with a lot of CM's "behind the scenes"--we rented out The Great Movie Ride for an evening dinner--it was awesome! Anyway, we were talking about rides, etc....and one of the CM's said it's exactly the same ride/track, just different scenery. It was a pretty good source, so I believe it. I always thought Dinosaur was bumpier, but it's the same! |

| I thought Dinosaur was smoother until I rode it again last week. It is pretty jumpy. Makes me wonder why the difference in height requirements? Dino is 40 while Indy is 46!

| I haven't ridden Dinosaur (DH did a "recon run" and advised against it) but I find it hard to believe that anything is rougher than Indy. Not my cup o' tea!

| As someone else stated...Dinosaur and Indy have identical track layouts. I can't recall if I thought one was more bumpy than the other or not. But I imagine Dinosaur could seem more bumpy since it's darker and you don't know what's coming up and whatnot. |
