| If you had to choose between preferred seating at Fantasmic or doing the "Welcome to Disneyland" tour, which would you choose? We're going to DL on 2/18-2/22/09 and I'm not sure which we should do. There will be 7 of us; 5 adults and 2 kids (ages 3 and 7). Your opinions would be greatly appreciated!!! :-)

| I'd do the tour, but that may be because I know Fantasmic like the back of my hand now. It's definitely a do-not-miss, but I don't know if you need a package for it. You'd still be able to see it, even without camping out for a couple hours (seriously, people start putting out blankets and such in front of the Rivers of America around dinner time). If you are close to the river, you will get wet from the water screens. When they show 2 shows, we like to go right at the end of the first one and snag a seat at the Cafe Orleans (I think - it's a CS that has outside seating looking over the river). Then, we settle down with a drink and wait for the next show - of course this was before kids.... That said, DLR Fantasmic is (IMO) so much better than DHS. If you think you won't be able to see it without the PS, then it's a much harder choice. I know. That probably wasn't that much help!

| The priority seating for Fantasmic! doesn't really get good reviews. Most people don't feel it's worth the cost. We usually go to the second show, even if we have the kids. You can generally walk right up. When my mom was still alive, she'd "plant" herself in a good spot, and we'd visit attractions in the area and return (this is what most people do). Fantasmic! at DLR is a must-do for us. It's different than WDW's version. That said, I'd go for the tour. It's great for first-time visitors and will really orient you and your family to the park. Have fun! ![]()

| I haven't done either, but I'd do the tour, as it sounds like that would be a good introduction to Disneyland for you. ![]()

| I'd go with the tour. ![]() That time of year, you should have no problem finding an easy (and BETTER) viewing spot for Fantasmic. ![]()

| Do the tour. I usually see the second show, since the fireworks are at the same time as the first show. What we do is one person from the group makes a "run" for it as soon as the fireworks are over to the Rivers of America and saves a place for the rest. One person can ussually get through a crowd faster than 5 people. We always get great seats right in front of the Stage. |
