| I have to ask My mom and I were discussing our upcoming trip, and she asked me about distances in the park. I know it's smaller than WDW. lol! But does anyone know about how long it takes to walk from one side of the park to the other? Just an average, of course, assuming you are doing the basic 'looking around' and not stopping at anything.

| That of course would depend upon the time of day, the level of the crowd and how fast of a walker you both are. My DW and I can walk from the Main Street Train Station all of the way back to Toontown in about 30 to 40 minutes. Less if you are in a hurry. As for DCA we can walk from the Maingate back to TSM, going the long way around 20 to 30 minutes. |

| I agree with walking time depending on how fast you walk (or how slow To get a rough idea of size . . . The entire Disneyland property (DL park, DCA and DTD as well as backstage areas and parking) covers about 220 acres . . . whereas the whole of WDW property is roughly 47 square miles. Disneyland park is about 85 acres . . . compared to Magic Kingdom's 107 acres. Much smaller, more intimate and doesn't take all that long to walk from point to point in the parks.

| Now that you have given that data out concerning DL's size, I have just learned, the first of the Feb, that Disney also owns another 80+ acres about 2 blocks south on Harbour. Currently it is growing strawberries but they are looking onto plans to maybe develope it into yet another theme park. Let's only hope they do. |

| I read someplace that they've gotten the go ahead for a water park there. I can't remember where I read it though. As for comparing the size of DL & WDW... The DL park proper can fit inside the WDW Magic Kingdom parking lot.

| Being a DL native and having just returned from my first ever trip to WDW, I would say that you'll be able to tell the difference between the sizes of DL and MK. I found MK to be more "windy" and not as direct when going from place to place, so it definitely felt like it took a lot longer to get where I wanted to go. Having said that, keep in mind that I was practically raised in DL, so what may seem straightforward to me may be a bit "windy" to others! Also, I think you'll notice a difference in how open MK is compared to DL. DL is much more compact, and there are places in DL that can get downright congested (Adventureland, for example) even when the park isn't that crowded. I think if you're used to MK then DL shouldn't be a problem feet-wise for you. |

| I've only been to Disney World once, about 25 years ago.

| To put it in perspective, the entire DL / DCA would fit in the parking lot of the MK in Florida
