AP payments.

For all of us So. Cal. Residents if you are thinking of getting an AP on the payment plan be forewarned that Disney will charge you a down payment of one day park admission and then take your first monthly payment out two business days later. It isn't that bad unless you are not expecting to pay out more then the down payment right away. Luckily we had the money at the time to do this.

I guess we were just lucky then. On Jan 30th we drove up to DL from San Diego to renew our PAP's, which were still good until Feb 3rd. When we got there we entered thru the turnstiles and went right to the Membership Center. We presented our then current PAP's and asked for the 'monthly payment plan'.
We were given a choice. 1) Pay $138.00 now plus the first monthly payment of $50.00 ($188.00 total) and then $50.00 a month for 11 months or, 2) Pay nothing now and then pay $61.50 within the next week and then 11 monthly payment of $61.50 each. We choose the 2nd choice. Now, this was on Jan 30th and the first $61.50 came out of our credit union on Feb 3rd and then again on Feb 24th with 10 payments left. In either plan, the cost for our two PAP's was still $738.00 or $369.00 each. Of course, we went up there totally expecting to pay the $738 in full so the $61.50 payment in less than a week was not unexpected.
