| I'm going to a family reunion at DL in October and will be bringing my 1 year old son. What rides will I be able to take him on? I'm wondering about rides like Peter Pan's Flight that have a bar that comes across the lap. Will my son be able to sit next to me, because I don't see how I could hold him with that bar there. Would Pirates be too scary? The last thing I want to do is annoy other guests with a crying baby, but I do want to be able to do as much as possible with him. Any other suggestions for touring with a 1 year old would be appreciated! Thanks!

| Part of this depends on your son and how he reacts to dark and/or noisy rides. Pirates is dark at parts, but my kids did fine with it (they were each 10 months old on their first trips). Some of the Fantasyland rides may need the child to sit next to you, but it's easy to keep a hold of them. And some may have a lap bar that sits so high you could sit an adult on your lap and be fine! You'll be able to do all the Fantasyland rides, providing your son is up for the themes (Snow White's Scary Adventure isn't all that scary, but the name turned my DD from it for years). You'll be able to do Haunted Mansion, Pirates and Small World. The Disney site used to have sections on touring with young kids, touring with teens and touring with adults only. They are good references on the rides you'll want to do. Go to Disneyland early and head straight back to Fantasyland. Get the must-dos done right away, before the lines get crazy: Dumbo, Peter Pan, Storybookland (great ride). There is also a big marble "ball" in front of Space Mountain that my kids love to play with. It slowly spins and has water running on its surface. All the kids like to try to stop it and get it spinning in a new direction. My FIL had DS play with that while the rest of us went on SM one year. And, while it's wet, its splash factor is minimal. Don't forget about taking a trip on the Mark Twain or Columbia on the Rivers of America. DS loved doing that, though he was a bit older at the time. Still a nice way to relax during the day..... That's all I can think of off the top of my head. PM me if you have specific questions - we go every year, so I've been with the kids at every age up to 8 (DD just turned 9).

| The lap bar is only to keep people seated so you should be fine on any kids ride with lap sitting for small kids. You can take him on any ride including autopia if he is a year old. You can take him on any ride that does not have a height limit and can use a child swapping pass for those that do.

| There are alot of rides that are suitable for infants. I found this Disneyland Family information when we took our daughter at around that age. I defiently recommend Pirates at least once. |
