| 1. Crowds should be lower, since most people will be returning to school that week. There could be some residual, though. 2. Weather in CA is never "bad" so it will be chilly at night but still nice during the day. 3. Christmas decorations will be up, but they will be in the process of removing them. It'd be interesting for you to take a picture of Main St on Jan 4 and then again on Jan 8 to see how much was done. 4. No idea - I don't know their timeline for removing the overlays on Small World and Haunted Mansion. BradK's site (stitchkingdom) is a good source for reburb/closures/etc.

| January is an awesome time to visit! Me and hubby always say it's our "season". We are AP's and hate when the parks are overcrowded, since we mostly just walk around and people watch, which I guess is still fun in some aspects. The crowds are definitely way lighter, although the hours tend to be a little early, DCA usually 6PM, DL 8PM during the week. You can probably still see some remnants of Christmas decorations, I know last year we were Christmas'ed out and went to Disneyland and we couldn't handle it because they still had all the Christmas stuff up! LOL I would say about it is typically completely down around the 10th of January. I think HM and SW usually go down around this time as well.... The weather is great, although can get a little chilly. I remember riding Screamin' one year and was TOTALLY frozen by time I got off and I had a down jacket on...:/ You are going to have a blast! You should be able to see everything you want in the time you are there! Have fun and maybe we'll see you around!!! LOL

| Jan. 4 - 8 could be rainy. Dec. and Jan. are wet months here in So. CA. About the only day in Jan. to take a bet on it not raining is the 1st. The Rose Parade and Rose Bowl football game use to be on the 1st. for years and it was known that in 90 years (close to) it only rained 3 or 4 times on that day. The Rose Bowl varies now between Jan. 1st and the 4th. I would still put my bet on the 1st not raining but not on any other day. Here's our monthly average for the past 24 years in the DLR area. Weather at Ndutu detail The first rain (sprinkle) came yesterday, Tuesday, all 35 seconds.

| January is the scheduled start of the DCA entrance remodeling. This will include remove the letters, pulling the entrance out to the letters, new facades for the main entrance buildings, retheming shops and other stuff, turning the plaza into Cathay Theater, installing the trolley tracks and more. The west side of the pier will se major renovations and retheming including two restaurants. Expect cold or mild weather. Rain is possible but in this area anything but snow is possible. Check the schedule but I am sure the last day is the 3 or 4th. They come in on the last night and remove as much as is possible of the holiday decorations. You will be able to stand outside the mansion and maybe still see some decorations..
