| News on DCA from the D23 Expo! I am following Lou Mongello as he updates from D23 . . . right now he is in a presentation with Jay Rasulo (Chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts  ).Lou has just posted about some of the things that will be included in the new Cars expansion at DCA! "Luigi's Flying Tires in Carsland and the Cozy Cone with cone-themed food" As well as news on Star Tours at DL . . . it's coming back in 2011 as STAR TOURS 2.0 . . . in 3D!!! Apparently it will be based on podracing (themed around the more recent movies, I suppose) It will also be coming to WDW to replace the current version at DHS! Deb Wills just Tweeted that there is video of the new Star Tours film . . . so, here is a "first look" at the footage: YouTube - Star Tours II Will post more if they post more but WOO!!!! I am excited to see the changes!

| We are already planning our trip back to the West Coast so we can see the new Carsland when it opens!! So excited!!!

| Drat. And I thought the Cozy Cone was going to be a true in-park hotel.  So, will it serve ice cream, French fries in a paper cone, kaki gori... ?You can see a whole lot more about the DCA make-over at Disneyland Resort - Detecting Browser Properties . . ., including drawings of Luigi's and the other attractions, videos with folks like John Lasseter... They don't mention the Cozy Cone at that site, but you can see it in the drawings.

| My DW and I were at the Expo yesterday and it was a mad house of people but sill exciting as all get out. We made a 'visit' to the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts area and oh boy am I glad to be an annual passholder to DL/CA because the plans they have laid out for CARSLAND is totally awesome. Flo's Drive-In is also going to be an eating place. The 'race course' and the 'air tires' just may need FP machines. We saw so much and heard so much that we couldn't remember it all but for those who were not able to attend this years D23 my suggestion would be to make plans for next years. They had a 'bug' or two but being as how this was 'year one' it went off with a bang if you know what I mean. |

| I talked to the CM in the room and he said there will be the diner serving fast food like burgers plus the snack shop aka Cozy Cone. He said they will be making the rides disabled accessible and the restaurants are supposed to be special diets friendly. They had models and it is going to be very nice indeed. They have a high facade to hide the outside world and show buildings. It reminds me of Wile E. Coyote desert scenes, lol.
