Limited showtimes??

A friend of mine who recently visited DLR mentioned that they missed out on the Aladdin show as it was not offered on the days they were there. I think I've heard the show plays Thursday through Sunday? Is that correct?

We will be visiting December 13th through the 16th, which is a Sunday through Wednesday. Are there any other shows/attractions that are only available on certain days?

I missed Aladdin on two trips because I didn't realize there were no shows on Mondays and Tuesday. On my last trip, I made it a point to check the schedule and saw it on Sunday. You can check the schedule at Disneyland Resort | Welcome To The Magic!, click on plan, choose park hours and click on the date (number) and it will give you the scheduled entertainment

Thanks! Sounds like we may do a lot of park hopping to fit in these things if they are only offered on one of the days we are there. Thank goodness the parks are so close together!

I'm glad you finally got to see it! I've been checking the website often for park hours, unfortunately the Disneyland hours don't come out nearly as early as WDW. Right now the hours only are up through November 18th! We are planning on going to a character meal, and next week I will be able to make the reservations. I would like to plan the meal time around parade times, but I guess I'll have to wing it!

I know I could just wait to plan until the hours and entertainment schedule are released, but planning really helps me get excited for the trip.

If they hold true to the past, the parade is done once a day, Mon - Thurs, about 5:30pm and twice a day the rest of the week, about 3:30pm and again about 6:30pm. Fantasmic is only done on Fri, Sat and Sun about 9:00pm and again about 10:30pm. Aladdin is dark Mon - Weds shows 3 times Thurs and Fri and 4 time on Sat and Sun. This information comes from all of the schedules that we have on file here at home. Hope this helps.

It depends on the season and other things like early park closures and special events.

Billy Hill and the Hillbillise, Farley, Aladdin, 49ers, Bootstrappers, and High School Musical and other live performances have had dark days. Some like Farley are only 5 days a week and some are only as few as 3 days a week.

It is very important to check with parks online for both coasts. Also you can ask people like me to check the parks for information. Some shows like Farley do not make it to the guides or internet. If you must see something then check online first and see if you can get information.

I have yet to see Aladdin this year because of a lot of reasons. Still trying to get mom to see it.

The same thing happened to us re: Aladdin. Well, we just returned from DL and finally got to see Aladdin - it was Sunday morning. Absolutely loved, loved, loved this show! A must-see. We just posted our trip report on our two4disney blog.

Same thing happened to us, we missed Aladdin by a day (its only Thursday through Sunday). I thought I had everything planned out because I knew the parades and Fantasmic don't show everyday. However I missed the Aladdin dates/times. It played the day we got there and we walked by the theater after the last show for the day and it didn't play until the afternoon of the morning we left. It was very sad because I have heard it is wonderful. So now I have a motivator to go back sooner. Same advice as others have said I have told people that are going. Pay close attention to the dates/times of all the shows, etc. and planned the must sees first. The rest can fall into place.

Hi Leanna -

Don't stress over the dining. WDW vs. DL dining are worlds apart. DL doesn't even give a confirmation number it is so laid back. I would highly recommend a reservation at Wine Country Trottoria to watch the ELP, it is amazing!
