I know that the average person walks about 10 miles a day at WDW. Does anybody wear a pedometer and can tell me how many steps an average person does at Disneyland and at CA?
I must've worn one on my previous trips to Disneyland in 2006 and 2008 - if you have a look in the trip report section, I usually list how far we walked at the end of each day.
I am going Mar 6th and am currently wearing a pedometer to track my steps, so I will let you know how many I do each day. We will be there for 4 days. This will be my first time so probably lots of extra steps getting lost.
Location: Granada Hills, California (1hr from Disneyland)

I will be there then too. March 6 & 7th.
As for the steps... I don't know. It is a lot with the park hopping,

In 2006 our EPCOT day was 16km (sorry not sure of the miles conversion) and when we stopped off at Las Vegas our longest day was 14km. We have to walk heaps to burn off all the extra food we consumed.
I'd love to know the DL average too...

16 km = 10 miles
14 km would be a little over 9 miles.
I may not be bilingual, although I'd love to know more French, but I do know miles/km and Fahrenheit/Celcius thanks to my frequent travels to the USA and the fact that when I started school we used the Imperial system rather than Metric. I just wish I'd been able to retain my school French lessons as easily.
I have two days of step info, I have it set for not much sensitivity so it doesn't measure much more than my steps.
Day one from 7 am to 1 pm 11000 steps that includes from the Howard Johnson to the park and back.
Day two from 930 am to 730 pm at California Adventures and a little time DTD plus the walk to and from hotel 15702 steps.
Considering I only get 3000-4000 in a normal day unless I use the treadmill, this is alot and more fun.

Mine doesn't have that option. That's what I get for buying the cheap model.

Considering a person is suppose to have 10,000 steps a day, I'd say some time at the parks helps achieve that! Btw... how was the Howard Johnson and how long of a walk is it to the DL?

Howard Johnson is good, it is right across the street from the Matterhorn. We had a room in building 1 6th floor facing the park. It was great to watch the fireworks. It was a good size room. The walk was about 10 mins from HJ to the gates of the park.
