I am not sure where I read sometime back that the Aladdin stage show was going to be closing at the end of the Summer 2010 and converted over to be shown on one of the cruise liners. I was researching what was going to be 'open' of 'closed' when we go back to DLR on Sept 11th and found that no where was the Aladdin times listed. Not for the entire month of Sept.
I wrote to Disney Customer Relations asking them about this omission and IF it were true that Aladdins demise at CA was around the corner. Friday I got a reply to my e-mail and I am HAPPY to announce that according to Linda Trump, Guest Communications, in her words, "You will be pleased to know that our Aladdin show is here indefinitely."
This in one show we never miss when we visit 'The Happiest Place on Earth"
That's really good news, but I'm still a tad worried. I didn't see any times listed after Labor Day, so I hope that changes quick!
That is exactly why I wrote to them but then we have to remember that they have some constuction to do in front of the theater, namely the trolley tracks and as popular at the show is, restricting the street would cause a heck of a mess. MAYBE, just maybe, this is why no times appear after Labor Day. I HOPE! Also, Disney has been slow in posting times a month or so ahead.
We're going to be there Sept 11 and 12 and hope to see it then and then again in Oct for my birthday.
THANKS for writing!!! We were SO disappointed that it wouldn't be there by the time we got there in 2012...not that whatever replaces it wouldn't be great, but Aladdin is one of our faves! SO happy to read this, and can't wait to tell dd when she wakes up tomorrow!

We were there last Friday and I asked a CM at the door about possible closings. She told me there was just no way to know when they may be dark for construction but that the show was there in definitely. We love it and were so happy to hear it was staying for the time being
Unless someone finds out before Sept. 11th, I let everyone know what's up with the 'no time listing' after Labor Day but I do think it may be because of the Trolley track construction. For those of us who have had the pleasure of watching the show in the past know exactly how much of a hassle it is getting out and if the street is blocked off this mass exodus would be an outright nightmare.
I reported this a month ago. A manager at a restaurant told me this and he knows what he is talking about. There are no plans for Aladdin leaving before the end of this year. Not sure why.
We had a bad time with lines as they are packing the lines. I got stepped on and walked over. If you are disabled and cannot handle the line then ask to wait elsewhere. The lines are not service dog friendly lately let alone sitting on the ground or in a wheelchair.
We love the show and see it nearly every time we go.

Disneyland was fun with flag retreat and pickles. I have a home here, thank you. GAC is NOT a "front of the line pass".
She is gone but keeping signature. Laundry is getting done. My purpose in life is to help poor people in FL. Farewell, will miss you.
Here is the latest update on Aladdin. IT IS DOWN but not out. The show has been set aside while consturction is being done on the Trolley tracks. The CM's we talked to are not sure when it will reopen but have been assured IT WILL reopen once work is down. Tower of Terror is open but you must go thru It's A Bugs Land to get to it. P T Flea is CLOSED for good, Farmers Market is also closed for good. Bountiful Valley Farm is closed for good. Sam Andreas Shakes is closed for good. In other words everything between Its A Bugs Land and the Pacific Warf is closed and in the process of been torn down in order to make room for a part of Cars Land. Pizza Oom Mow Mow and the S.S. Rustyworthy is also closed while the area is made over to accomodate a new eating area. Construction has also begun on Sunshine Plaza. It appears they are beginning to remove the water display. Little Mermaid is coming alone just great. Well, I guess this ends my latest report from California Adventure. The next issue will be Oct 17th.
this bums me out that it's down and not known when it will return. Was looking forward to finally seeing it in Feb! Hopefully it's back by then! I hear the Genie is hysterical.
