DLR - Downtown Construction - Cries bye Compass Books
Crying hard as that was where Mom loved to go to buy books. No matter how strapped we were or how near to maxed out the credit card was, nothing stopped us from stopping at Compass Books & Cafe will be closing down. The last day will be March 31.
After many years at DLR the Island Charter clothing store closed last December. Lego is moving into their space until their old home gets a major overhaul. This move should happen this month.
La Brea Bakery has had the east half of the building walled over. They are expanding the place to make room for more goodies and add 900 square feet. The cart will be gone and a walk up window will be added but seating will not increase. This sounds like a more efficient way of handling the crowds that pour in at certain times of the day. The western sit down half remains open.

Mom calls to check on me and reminded me to pay the gardener. I love her so much.
Disneyland was fun with flag retreat and pickles. I have a home here, thank you. GAC is NOT a "front of the line pass".
She is gone but keeping signature. I move to FL and did laundry on 4/19.
They are being replaced by an inferior restaurant, Earl of Sandwich.
They cannot do special diets and have not got back to me on what is gluten free. I would give them a chance but Cookes of Dublin and Raglan Road give people with speical diets good food. I give a restaurant 2 chances except Hungry Bear which has had 4 chances, egads. Can anyone prove to me that this new restaurant can be run with the same special diet oriented kitchen that will put out safe food. I doubt it or they would have it on their site.
SSTINK STINK STINK
At least they could bring Raglan Road, a great place to eat from what I here and they even heard responded to me on Facebook.
