| Re: Paris Disneyland EVERYTHING! She is from Japan and wanted to see Disneyland Paris. (I am still trying to talk her into WDW). Do you make ADR's in advance also? Where can we find more info on it? Which hotels are better? How many days do you really need to see it? Are there any other things you need to make reservations for ahead of time? Tours? I agree with you Jimmy. However, I would still find a day to do Disneyland. Thanks! |

| Re: Paris Disneyland I would suggest going to the Disneyland Paris Official website. That would be a good place for your friend to start. On my first ever visit to Paris I decided to forgo DLP this time (HERESY - I know!) But hopefully my future will include a second visit to France and I'll spend some glorious days in DLP. Can't wait to see you Chez in London! Hope your friend has a wonderful time! |

| Re: Paris Disneyland We didn't make any ADR's in advance, although I know you can. We never had any problems getting in anywhere and once we were there, we made bookings for the next couple of nights. We stayed at the Newport Bay and really enjoyed it, although it's probably a good 15 - 20 minute walk from the parks. It's quite a pleasant walk through Downtown Disney and past the other hotels though. The Disneyland Hotel was very reminiscent of the Grand Floridian, while the Sequoia Lodge is similar in theming to the Wilderness Lodge. And of course we liked Newport Bay as it was like the Beach Club. I hope that gives you an idea of what some of the hotels are like. I'd say you need three days to see it. We were there for four days and on the fourth day, we were repeating attractions, as we pretty much had seen most things we wanted to see. | Re: Paris Disneyland [ QUOTE ] EVERYTHING! She is from Japan and wanted to see Disneyland Paris. (I am still trying to talk her into WDW). Do you make ADR's in advance also? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, dining reservations can (and should) be made in advance. The system isn't exactly like WDW's, but the idea is still the same. [ QUOTE ] Which hotels are better? [/ QUOTE ] We haven't made a study of all the resorts, but one certainly is more distinctive (and expensive/"better") than the rest, hands-down. The Disneyland Paris Hotel is the only hotel within walking distance of Disneyland Paris park, Disney Studios and Downtown Disney. It's located right at the entrance to Disneyland Paris park. It's got the grandest decor, the best dining, and the most spacious rooms. [ QUOTE ] How many days do you really need to see it? [/ QUOTE ] I'd allow at least three days - two for Disneyland Paris, one for Studios. [ QUOTE ] Are there any other things you need to make reservations for ahead of time? Tours? [/ QUOTE ] The only item I can recall outside of dining is Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show at Downtown Disney, which I think is quite worthwhile. It's much closer in style and size to Medieveal Times, Dixie Stampede and Arabian Nights than the WDW dinner shows. As a semi-reenactment of the historic Buffalo Bill Wild West Show that toured Europe, I find it a more satisfying show than the others I've mentioned. Food is pretty basic, but still better quality for the most part than what they dish out at the shows here in the States. |
