Should we go...............

Hello everyone. My DH and I are taking our oldest DD17 (18 at time of trip) to Paris/Dublin for a week when she graduates high school. I was wondering if anyone thought we should add in a day to DLP? We would only have one day, but probably a whole day/evening. We are big Disney addicts, but have only gone to WDW so far. I don't know how crowd levels work or anything so not sure if one day is worth it. We will be in Paris 6/27/08 thru 6/30/08.

Thanks for any help or tips you can give me.

If you are going to go to DLP, then I would try for a Friday or a Monday, as your dates seem to include a weekend. Unsurprisingly, the park is always more crowded at weekends. As to whether to go or not, it's a personal decision. All the Disney parks are very different and are worth seeing, but you've also got to balance it with what you would've spent that time doing. Would it eat into the time you'd spend in Paris for example and would you end up missing important sights there? I would say if you think you've got the time, then go for it.

I have to agree with Cheryl that this is a personal decision so I can really only tell you how it is for me. Well, I am a Disney-holic. I could never go to Paris without going to DLP as well. In fact, everytime I've been to Paris, we stayed at DLP and only went to Paris for a day max. I'll be going to DLP in 17 days and won't be going into the city of Paris at all! So, having said that, I know that most people are not as weird as I am and want to spend at least some time in Paris itself

Anyways, if you really are huge Disney fans (and your DD is, too) then I'd say it's definitely worth spending a day there. You won't get to "see it all and do it all" in one day, of course, but since a lot of the attractions are the same, you could concentrate on the ones that can only be found in Paris. Maybe you could let your DD decide?

Hope this helped!

It is indeed a very big personal decision. I'm a huge Disney fan too, but I would never dream of going to DLP. There is so much elso to do in Paris. DLP or the Louvre? Musee d'Orsay? Musee Rodin? Les Invalides? Notre Dame? Versailles? Bateaux-mouches tour at night? Not even close imho. good luck deciding

Well, I think I am going to go for it. We are Disney addicts, and I think I would always regret not having gone when I had the chance. Who knows when I will get back? We are coming in early Thurs morning and we usually power thru the first day and just have an early dinner and go to bed around 8pm. I think we will be so excited to be in Paris that we will be fine. That is how I was the first time in London too. I was tired, but I couldn't stop! We thought we would hit the main tourist spots in Paris (Louvre, d'Orsay, Arc, Eiffel, Notre Dame) Should I go to DLP Friday and then go back to Paris late Fri night? Or should I spend my two days in Paris and risk crowds in DLP on Saturday?

I appreciate any help. I feel very odd. I know exactly how to plan WDW, and I am completely out of my element with DLP. However, I don't think I trust anyone as much as you guys to help me out!

How neat that you're going for it! I would head to Disneyland Paris on the Friday, as I think it will be a bit quieter than on the Saturday, allowing you to see more.

I agree with Jimmymac. There is so much to see in Paris and beyond. Good luck with your decision--it is a difficult one!!! I love history and art so it is not easy to figure out what to do.

If you think that you'd regret not having gone you should definitely go! That's the same way I felt about going to DL Anaheim when we went to California two years ago.

The end of June is a pretty busy time at DLP so I would probably go on Friday if at all possible.

Let us know if you have any other questions
