Question Halloween at Disneyland Paris

Hi

Has anyone been to DLP in October? My DF suddenly announced she would like us to visit during Halloween and I'm not about to turn her down!!

Does DLP put as much effort into it as the US parks?

If so how soon in Oct do the decorations go up, and do any of the hotels join in with the theming?

I've only ever been in the summer months so I'm stumped with this one and I don't want her to feel let down if it's very "low key" .

DLP is great during October. The entire park is decorated. Main Street area was taken over by the Pumpkin Men and Frontier area by the Pink Witches. The parade was fabulous. The weather was mild to us and it was not crowded. Definately worth the trip.

Oh my goodness, they do MORE than the US parks, which amazed us, bearing in mind how huge Halloween is in America. We came away from DLP saying that this is what the American parks should do. We loved all the pumpkin men in Main Street and when we went, Frontierland was turned into Halloweenland - there were some wonderful additions and we thoroughly enjoyed our Halloween visit.

I was at DLP this past September (26th-30th) and they already had most of the decorations in Frontierland (aka Halloweenland) up. Holy cow, they were AMAZING!!!! It is SO worth a visit, IMO! It's the opposite of "low key" in every way! I loved how everything looked completely different. I have never seen so much orange in one place my whole life The weather is hit or miss in October, of course, but other than that I'd say GO FOR IT!!!

Thanks very much for this folks - it's good to know. I'm going to book us up as it sounds as if it's exactly the kind of experience my DF is looking for.

I found a pumpkin on the smilie menu just to put me in the mood...........

We went in October and DLP was all decked out for Halloween. Halloween is one of our favorite holidays so we were thrilled!! We even had pumpkin shaped chicken nuggets at one of the counterservice restaurants!
