Question When Is The Best Time To Visit DLP

I have always wanted to visit DLP and really Paris in general. When is the
best time to visit: weather, crowd, expense wise? Does DLP have a
Value Season?

Also for those DLP veterans, which travel book is the Go To Guide if you
had to pick one or two? I wish Passporter had a DLP book out.

I know it will be awhile before we can visit with DD, but I love to plan trips
and this one looks like so much fun!

Thanks!

I think the best time to visit depends, to a certain extent, on what type of visitor you are. I would warn you that DLP gets very cold in the winter. We've been in January and March and it's been freezing - that wouldn't bother some people at all, but I found it very biting in the wind.

We really enjoyed our visit at the end of September with all the Halloween decorations up, as they make a really big deal of that and I don't think you can beat Paris in the spring time. We were in Paris itself in early May this year and it was beautiful.

I would avoid the summer months, especially when the British and French schools are out, as the parks tend to be mobbed then.

As for books, I have an AA book about Disneyland Paris and also the Brit's Guide to Disneyland Paris.

Well, be prepared that the weather in Europe is pretty unpredictable so no matter what month you visit, you could end up with rain Other than that, I agree with Cheryl that it's chilly in the winter. The only reason we're going to DLP in December this year is because we want to see the holiday decorations January and February are value season at DLP due to the weather.

The parks are most crowded in July and August, around Easter and Christmas, as well as on the weekends (when the weather is nice). Definitely arrange to be there during the week if at all possible! Tuesday through Thursday is best. Also, avoid national holidays that allow for a long weekend (e.g. Pentacost).

Prices vary according to season and day of the week (your arrival day determines the price of your stay). The times listed as most crowded above are also the most expensive (obviously). May, June and September are my personal favorite times to visit as you have a decent chance for sunshine and prices aren't bad. Check out DLP's website DisneylandŽ Resort Paris for pricing info (click on "book your package" in the lower right corner).

As far as travel guides are concerned, a PassPorter DLP e-book is in the making (I wrote it ), but it might take a while till it's ready to be published. In the meantime, I found the Brit's guide to be the most helpful. The AA guide has pretty photographs but not much information in it, IMO.

Have fun planning!
