| The "Did somebody say Jingle Bells?" Pre-Trip Report (Updated 12/12/08) Ok, this is my first pre-trip report ever so please bear with me  Where: Disneyland Paris !!! Who: DH Manuel (25) and I (Sabine, 27), meeting up with Cheryl (chezp) and her DH Mark When: December 17 - 22, 2008 During the 2007 holiday season, while I was sitting curled up on my sofa at home with a cup of hot chocolate, watching a holiday DVD on DLP, I decided that it was time I finally saw the Disneyland Resort Paris all decked out in Christmas decorations for myself, whether hubby liked it or not  I've always wanted to go to DLP during this special season but somehow it never worked out. 2008, however, seemed to be perfect as Christmas Eve falls on a Wednesday this year, meaning that there's a weekend right before it where we could go! While hubby wasn't thrilled about the idea, a little bribing worked like a charm  A few months later, when I met up with Cheryl and Mark in Berlin, I learned that the two of them still had one day worth of admission for DLP and were thinking about a trip right before Christmas to celebrate Cheryl's birthday. How awesome is that!?! So the two of them will join us at DLP from Friday to Sunday  Here we are, about a year after all the planning started, and I can barely wait to finally pack the car and start driving! We'll drive to Paris with our own car, which will take us approximately 6-7 hours. If it doesn't start snowing, that is  . We'll be staying at Disney's Sequoia Lodge, a moderate resort that's theming is similar to the WL's one. It's one of my favorite resorts at DLP and I'm so excited to finally stay there again!Well, that's all I can think of for right now. I'm sure Cheryl, as the experienced trip report writer that she is, will elaborate more.  Can't wait to see you

| Right now I'm sitting at home, with only one more day at work to go before my three-week Christmas break ( ). Since the laundry isn't done yet, I thought I'd share a bit more about our plans for when we're at DLP. Soooo, here we go:Wednesday, Dec 17: Drive to DLP, check into Sequoia Lodge, unpack (yep, I always unpack when we stay somewhere for more than two nights. It's like a ritual for me to make that hotel room "our" room), and explore the Disney Village (DLP's equivalent to Downtown Disney, only smaller). Thursday, Dec 18: Morning at Walt Disney Studios (riding Tower of Terror over and over and over... you get the picture  ), then lunch with Cinderella and her princess friends at the restaurant L'Auberge de Cendrillon. Afternoon at the Disneyland Park, enjoying the beautiful Christmas decorations and maybe even paying Santa a visit Evening exploring the Disney resorts.Friday, Dec 19: Morning at the parks. Then shopping at the Val d'Europe mall and La Vallée outlet village, both of which are a short 10-minute drive away from DLP. Cheryl and Mark will arrive in Paris this afternoon and we'll all meet up for a late dinner at Café Mickey, a fun restaurant at the Disney Village that has characters present. Saturday, Dec 20: Another fun-filled day at the parks lies ahead of us. Cheryl and Mark will be there, too, today, so I'm sure it will be tons of fun It's also Cheryl's birthday  We have a lunch reservation for the Blue Lagoon restaurant inside Pirates of the Caribbean. At night, while Cheryl and Mark enjoy a nice romantic dinner at the Disneyland Hotel, hubby and I have tickets to Mickey's Magical Christmas Dinner. This dinner show will be one of the highlights of our stay I'm sure! I'll take lots of pictures, I promise Sunday, Dec 21: This morning is kinda open. We may hit the parks or sleep in... Then we're meeting Cheryl and Mark for a good-bye lunch at Disney's Newport Bay Club (a moderate resort). The restaurant, called Cape Cod, offers Mediterranean fare buffet-style. After Cheryl and Mark head back home, hubby and I are planning on checking out the indoor swimming pool at the Sequoia Lodge. Monday, Dec 22: Is it really time to pack our stuff already? We'll check out and then head to the parks one last time. We have a late lunch reservation at the Café Mickey restaurant in the Disney Village before we hit the road homewards. I can't believe we only have 4.5 more days to go! I remember starting the countdown at 11 months or so
