We went for my son's 5th birthday (26th October) in 1999 and are planning to go back for his 18th birthday this year. Even back in 1999 they had pumpkin men and Hallowe'en Land in Frontier Land. We have a photo of my son with Minnie dressed in her orange country best. Also, the baddies seem to come out more in Frontierland over Hallowe'en too, which my husband loves!
With regards to the weather, for some reason whenever we have been in October we've always had dry weather and when we've been in the Summer it rained!

What a shame - looks like we'll miss you judging by your countdown. We're going to be out there at the start of October this year for a weekend.
That is a shame. We are leaving home on 25th October so we can arrive in DLP for my son's birthday on 26th. He doesn't know yet, he thinks we are going to London for his birthday weekend (we were originally going to go to DLP by Eurostar) but I may need to change it to saying that we are going to go and see family in Kent so we can go on the Shuttle instead.
We first took my son to DLP at the beginning of October just before he was 3 so that he went free I love the beginning of October because for some reason the weather is warm and the parks are fairly quiet as the schools don't break up for half term until the end of October. I'm looking forward to my son finishing school so that we can go outside of school holidays again.
