Smile Just returned from DLP

I haven't got enough time to write a trip report but thought I would write a little about our recent visit! We all had a super time! I did get ill on the third day and we ended up having to stay four extra days but we were covered by our travel insurance thank goodness!

We went First Class (Standard Premier) both ways on the Eurostar and we had a very smooth journey. My scooter was loaded on at Ebbsfleet and taken off at Marne la Vallee easily. The staff were friendly and we were served breakfast on the way out and a light supper on the return. Ebbsfleet is an excellent station, very uncrowded and the staff go above and beyond, it was a very positive experience!

The two parks were nicely decorated for Christmas and 18 month old Alice loved the snow on Main Street. All the Cast Members we met were extremely helpful and friendly, I was a bit apprehensive as I was taking a scooter for the first time but in general it was ok. City Hall were fine when I needed to charge it in there and one CM even bought Alice a Winnie the Pooh balloon whilst we waited, she was so excited, that lovely CM really made her day!

Alice's favourite rides were: IASW, Buzz Lightyear, Flying Carpets, Car's Ride, Slinky dog and the Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop (this one surprised us, we seem to have a dare devil daughter)!!

Our stay at the Hotel New York was great, the room was huge, clean and overlooking the lake. There were characters every morning in the Lobby which Alice loved, everytime we went in the lift she thought we were going to see Mickey Mouse! The breakfast in the hotel was very nice, fresh and had a huge selection.

This is our seventh time to DLP and we usually encounter one or two very 'French' French people but not a bit of it this time, all the French were extremely courteous, well mannered and polite! Unfortunately this could could not have been said about some British, Spanish and one particularly rude German lady. These people kept darting in front of my scooter, pushing past me, laughing at me and generally being rather horrible. I must admit it is a little unusual to see a 30 ish year old on a Mobility Scooter with crutches attached to the back but laughing and making me feel like a fairground exhibit is not on, it made me feel very self conscious most days.

I don't think we will be able to go again for some time due to funds but if we win the lottery that will all change!

I would be very happy to answer any questions if anyone has any?
