Paris Disneyland Here I Come! Hi everyone! My DH & I have decided to celebrate our 10th anniversary in Paris (Jan 04). And since I will be only an hour away from the only Disneyland on the planet I haven't been too, I've managed to get DH to agree to spend one day at the park. Woohoo! I'm not at all excited about this, can you tell? So far, we've purchased the plane tickets and have reserved the hotel. Here's where I need some help. From what I've read, Paris can get cold and wet in January-highs in the high 30s-low 40s. To a CA native, that is cold! I know our "winter" clothes will not keep us warm. What kinds of clothes should we pack to keep from freezing? Any input would be appreciated. TIA! Donna

Re: Paris Disneyland Here I Come! Be prepared. It's a lot different than Disney over here. We were over there about 7 years ago when my husband was stationed in Germany. The people that visit are not as polite as over here. Several times people cut us in line and nothing happened. I don't know why it was different except most of the people were not Americans and they have a different mentality than over here. It was cool to be there. I hope that you have a good time. Just want you to be prepared.

Re: Paris Disneyland Here I Come! I'll be able to tell you more about DLP when we get back from our break there next week! As far as clothes go, yes it can get very cold in January. I'm not sure about Paris and that area, but we live in south east England, very close to France and it's not unusual to have snow in January. I think temperatures in the 30's and low 40's are usual. As far as clothes go, I'd go for layers - T-shirt, maybe long sleeved shirt, sweatshirt and then a coat. Jeans are a must and maybe a couple of pairs of socks, especially if you're not used to such cold weather. Better safe than sorry! Paris is a wonderful, romantic city and there are so many great places to see there - the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, the Louvre, Sacre Coeur and Versailles spring to mind instantly. We went there for the day to celebrate our first wedding anniversary (it's only two hours from us) and I'd been there a couple of times before. You'll have a great time there.

Re: Paris Disneyland Here I Come! We are thinking about going over in the next year and have found this site very helpful. As others have posted, it gets pretty cold there and can be pretty wet but they have a lot of awning type coverage to protect you. Have fun planning!
