That's the easy way to delete text from a post, but if you want to delete the post, you need to go into edit and then hit the delete button at the bottom right corner of the edit window.

Thanks, that worked to delete the second post. But there is no "delete button at the bottom right corner of the edit window" in the original post.

When I read your reply I thought, "I'm not that stupid! There was no delete button!" This thought was confirmed when I went back into my original post and clicked "edit." Apparently it only shows up in subsequent posts.

I want to delete the whole post, original thread and all. Can I do this? Can someone do it for me?

ahhh.... you need to go to the top of the thread and click the pull-down arrow in the Thread Tools area, then click Delete Thread.
