| The younger Sis is always the smartest!
At least when it comes to broken bones.
Last night, we had dinner with Dsis and Dniece. DN was holding her arm very still (not normal for a 9 yr.old) and had a splint on it. She had put it on herself, after she fell. DSis didn't think that she had broken it, I asked DN to take off the splint and show me. "TAKE her to the DR. NOW!" It was swollen, and looked odd. DN woke up this AM with it still swollen, and they took her to the hospital. IT's broken, with an off-set break to 2 of the wrist bones.
When DN called to tell me, I told her "The younger sister is always smarter" (She's a younger sister also)
So, tomorrow, instead of going on her all day field trip to the Indy 500 track (she's going to the race, so not a big deal to miss), she's going to breakfast with her mom and me, then to her fave. store (Staples!) and then to Maggie Moo's (designer ice-cream for kids). Then, to the orthopeopist, hopefully.
can you send some pixies for her arm to heal well? It worries us that it's an off-set break. (oh, and it's not that Dsis is neglectful, it's just this kid is always falling, and almost never breaks anything, whereas my kids break things all the time) |
