Pixies for DNephew needed - bad day! **Updated in 1st post**
Dsis called me in between my classes today - Dnephew is going into surgery NOW! Spent the night in the Hosp. on observation
He was having severe pain, not localized. It went to his right lower quadrant and Dr. decided it may be appendicitus. Poor kid was in so much pain, and had a bad reaction to morphine, that Dsis says he was screaming for her to "Help me, mommy!" He's 13 - anyone with a 13 yr. old boy knows that's pretty bad.

He's resting tonight, minus a barely inflamed appendix, no guarntee that that's what it was (Doc said he expected it to be pretty yucky). But, DN is feeling better. Of course, he's still on painkillers.

Pixies that he'll recover easily and be okay please?? (this is my only nephew - I have 17 nieces and him)

*** Thanks for all the pixies, DN is now home and resting. He should be up and back to school in a week or so. He's a football player, so I guess he's out for awhile. My dad went to see him today and said he's just hanging out on the sofa, playing videos and reveling in his mom's attention (Dsis loves her job, and usually works 70+ hrs. a week - time alone with her is precious to her kids)

Having spent 12 hours waiting to be seen in a E.R. affectionatly known as the Butcher Block for the exact same thing I understand DN's pain and completly sympathise.
