I've asked my boss to let me go down to a kind-of part time position after the baby comes, because I just don't think I can stay there full time. Pixies please, that he'll agree to it. He's been considering it a week and a half now and I'm getting nervous. It's an option my employer offers - but is considered on a case-by-case basis. He admitted to me that he has concerns that if he does this for me, that a problem co-worker will want the same thing.
Also, we're going to meet with our possible sitter (for when I do work) this evening. Pixies please, that we ask the right questions and learn what we need to - so that we make the correct decisions.
Thanks so much!

If the maternity change is considered case by case, then he shouldn't worry about the problem person... just YOU So to your boss to have the courage to do what is right for you and not worry about someone else!

Many hugs & pixies... I remember the stress of going thru that; it will all be fine. And I hope your boss takes your case on it's own merits, not worrying about the other co-worker.
I agree with the case-by-case thing - if your company policy is a case-by-case basis, then they really shouldn't consider the other person's deal in your case - that's not fair.
