| I remember making a decoupage keychain for my mom. It's probably still in her top dresser drawer.

| When we were really young, we were limited to where we could walk -I remember buying lots of kind of cheap perfume for my mother- if there were sparkly things or feathers on the bottle or box, all the better. Gloves or candy for my father. When I got older- clothes for my mother- or scarves- she was the queen of accessorizing. My father was harder- he was one of those "dont buy me anything "types and meant it. Candy still- he had a sweet tooth. Books- he would accept those. Once when we were all in college ,we chipped in and bought him plane tickets to Florida so he could go down and fish with his retired buddy. I thought he was going to burst out crying! He went though and told everyone it was the best vacation he ever had! I wish they were still around too

| I can't remember what I brough my mum when I was little but in my teenage years is was hat pins, her favourite perfume and one year a shawl ( that year she brought me a shawl too). Now she drops hints through out the year as to what she would like and I have try and remeber them when it comes to birthdays and christmas' as my sister comes to me for advice and I buy my step dad's present to mum and claim the money back otherwise he wouldn't bother. Even after all these years he still hasn't worked it out that mum and I plan what he is going to buy her!
