Thanks so much for all the pixies....they are working beacause I am doing pretty well...haven't taken any pain meds except the occassional tylenol! Saw the doc today who re-xrayed my thumb, changed the dressing and splint. He pretty much reiterated everything they told me at the ER. He wants to see me in a week to check to healing. In total, it is going to take 6-8 weeks for the fracture to heal and 4-6 months for the nail to completely grow in. In the grand scheme of things, I am pretty lucky!
