My DH is definitly a disney downer. I really think there are 2 schools of people, the ones who get Disney and the ones who don't. Unfortunatly, my DH doesn't get it. He thinks it's just for the kids.

Well my wife and i are kids for life We love Disney because when we arrive on Disney property the real world disappears and for however many days we stay we don't have a care in the world. I was an officer in the Army and Disney was one of the only places I could go to feel safe and at home if that makes sense. There’s something warm about being there it is like eating your favorite comfort food.

My DH doesn't love it-just doesn't care to go. The last time he went was December 2004. He had a good time and agrees that Disney does a super job taking care of the guests...He just doesn't care to go back. I'm hoping he will change his mind in a few years and go with me. I'm a bit envious of other couples enjoying themselves in the parks. He isn't bothered that I go every year with our daughter. She and I have an incredible time doing the mom/daughter thing.

DH wouldn't go with me two years ago when I got a bonus from work and suggested we go for our anniversary. He was not interested . .. "we've been before, I'll be bored" etc. etc.

So guess what? I went without him! DD14 and I had a wonderful time!
