| Let's see if this actually works Since it's a rainy day here and we can't go out, Abby's been bouncing off the walls a little bit. She's looking for things to do, so I keep telling her, "well help me with this, help me with that." Right now, she's willing to do all of it (mostly small stuff, picking up, unloading the dishwasher). So I've decided, since she's always looking for money to put in her "Disney bank" that starting tomorrow, she will earn an allowance she can put away for Disney or whatever. Being Autistic, I'll make it easy for her in that I'll give her the money each night (I've tried weekly rewards and they didn't work). Right now, I'll also keep it to only a few things. As she gets older, I'll add a few more and up the money, but that's if she can keep focused and actually do the chores. Let's hope it works. I grew up with chores and it really taught me the value of hard work and money (something I don't think today's kids know about.)

| We all need to learn ways to grow and gradually delay rewards. Sounds like you have a good plan!

| I agree kids nowadays aren't taught the value of good work & aren't made to do chores which I believe they should do. Hope it works for Abby!!

| Great idea you have for Abby to earn some reward money. When my grandkids are going to WDW, I give them Disney Dollars for doing chores and other good things. They love it.
