| My mom used to work at a grocery store. She says people do it all the time. FYI the cashiers HATE that when people leave there carts and run off to get something. Some people are so rude. |

| I agree...Sulley has run back for something at times while we are in line, but if he doesn't make it back, he goes to a different line and checks out...no holding anyone up or expecting people to wait for me! HOW RUDE!

| I have, on rare occasions, quickly run to pick up something from an aisle within a few feet of the checkout - but only if I'm at least one cart away from the belt! I would never grab an armload of stuff It sounds like she forgot more than a few groceries - she forgot her manners, too! |

| It would curl your hair if I started telling you all my "war stories" of 12 years at a grocery store!! Some people get into such a mood when then come thru the door and think everyone should step aside....they're coming thru!!! I used to work in the customer service booth and if we would get busy on the registers, one of us (two working in there) would have to go and open a register to cut the lines down. Some people didn't think that was good enough, however, and would come and yell at us to open another register (even though all available personnel were on)! I really wanted to ask them if they'd like me to "poop" out another cashier so they could get on their merry way!!! It's much worse when bad weather is planned or there's a holiday......you can't even find a parking place or a shopping cart or a nice person! So glad to be out on medical leave right now! I agree tho....very rude of that person!

| I've worked as a bagger and in the deli (different times at different stores)....people can be SOOO rude ......when the customer left, the cashier let me go up to the break room (which was mere feet from me) and compose myself....unfortunately when you work at places like grocery stores or even restraunts and the sort, people are either just plain mean and heartless or forget that the people who work there are people too and have their pwn problems too...ok...think I've rambled on enough ![]() |

| I work in a supermarket during the summer and people do this sort of thing all the time. I am a cashier and I have told people to go and get what they need if their are not any people in line behind them. some people can be so rude. I love the people that when you have half of their order bagged and then they tell you they want paper or they have their own bags that drives me and my bagger nuts.

| The benefit of taking a kid with you is....'quick run down there and get another pack of ??? ..it's nearly our turn - HURRY!!!!' Seriously, that's so rude. I always take my entire trolley with me - busy or slow volume....just in case a staff member starts returning my goods to the shelves - LOL!
