| If she CANNOT move her head up and down without pain (side to side will be pain free), please call 911 or get her to the ER right away. Lock your fingers together and put your palms behind her head. Tell her to relax and start moving her head gently and slowly from side to side as she relaxes attempt to put her chin to her chest. If she has pain, stop immediately. A sudden severe headache that persists with pain on bending and flexing the neck is a sign of Meningitis. Not trying to be scary, but want to make sure you're aware. Please keep us posted. |

| UPDATE on Cory... Well, her severity of pain is certainly gone, although she has kept a bit of her headache most of the day. I asked her right before she went to bed if it was gone, and she said no - it was just on both sides of her head now, right above her ears. Thanks everyone for the advice that severe, sudden headaches are nothing to mess with. That's the reason we left the grocery store immediately as I wanted to observe her for any other signs or symptoms. She did feel a bit sick to her stomach at the store, but we've had no dizziness, vision impairment, stiff neck, drowsiness or anything else unusual. At this point, I'm going to say it was just 'one of those things' - but if she has any more severe pain, we'll be going to the doctor right away. Thank you for all the pixies - it means a lot!! ![]()

| PLEASE keep a close eye on her. The RN in me is thinking worst-case scenario and I just wnat her to be safe. Another thing that can occur with sudden severe headaches are aneurysms-so if she is not feeling better tomorrow I'd have her checked out. Rather be safe than sorry.
