| I think you've done the mature thing by keeping quiet - taking the high road so to speak. It would probably validate her if she knew she upset you - in her warped little world! I still can't understand how someone could be so unhospitable to a family that was doing free work! Also, I have to say this - when you plan your pregnancies has nothing to do with her life or her activities - you do it when it is best for your family! That is ridiculous! One of my children has a cousin 9 weeks older, and another one has a cousin 5 months younger, and they are all so close. I would have been tickled to death for my kids to get a close cousin. I'm convinced she has mental problems. I feel sorry for her kids now!

| I think the best revenge would be to keep letting the cousins come over and make your house the FUNNEST place to be. Then maybe the kids will go home and keep telling your SIL about "Aunt Dina this" and "Aunt Dina that" (she makes the best snacks, she has the best games, she's the best aunt EVER!!). So she ends up hearing about how great you are from her own kids - and maybe your MIL will chime in as well.

| Oh Dina I am so sorry that our boys (and you & DH) had to endure such inhospitable treatment from a family member. It makes me very sad that someone would do that to anyone, much less family. NO ONE leaves my house hungry...EVER...even if I don't like them so much. I am very proud of you for taking the high road. Vent to us and keep the peace with DH. I agree with Mary Ann though, I would make sure her kids know that Auntie Dina is the bestest Auntie in the entire world!

| Wow! I'm not the only one with a crack-pot for a SIL ![]() You're wise to take the high road...I doubt (from what you said) that anything you say to your SIL would matter to her. She seems very self-centered. Keep it as a lesson learned (like you said) and not let the kids be in her presence for more than necessary...ie: family functions...where other (more responsible) adults are around...like yourself and DH. Good luck in the future, I know what it's like trying to be civil to someone who infuriates you ![]()
