| Jeff, I would double check the time without drinking. Hopefully, you'll be able to drink just water for a little while longer. If I remember correctly, I had to stop water at 3am for a noon surgery. Good Luck to you and a speedy recovery.

| Listen, the surgery should be a breeze! The worst part is the not eating/drinking after midnight. I myself just got out of Hernia repair surgery last friday after 26 hours of no food/drink and left the hospital on monday, so you're not alone. Think Positive. Greg |

| Jeff - if you're going to a surgery center, call and ask them to speak to the anethesiologist. Usually, it's just that they don't want you to eat or drink for 8 to 10 hours. They tell everyone not after midnight because it's easier to remember. Also, small sips of water are probably okay - ASK, though, don't take my word for it! You'll do fine - DH has had his ankles, knees, and arm operated on orthoscopically, and he recovered from those much more quickly than the surgeries that were more invasive. Lots and lots of pixies, just the same. It's pretty scary, no matter how many or how simple a surgery it is.

| My Dh had orthoscopic surgery two weeks ago at 4:00 his orders were to not have anything to eat or drink after 8:00 am but he could have clear liquids such as water and chicken broth. Here are some pixies that you get it all straightened out so theres no confusion...and for a speeedy recovery too! ![]()

| Jeff -- lots of pixies coming for your surgery and recovery! Hopefully, you'll be able to get some good answers about the water, too.
