same here, if she doesn't at least respond to your email I would call the authorities and have them do a welfare check on the kids. He tested positive for drugs and he's living around the kiddos? Not cool at all.

That's exactly what I was going to say; my Dh is a detective so my 1st instinct is to call the police. It seems like she's made bad choices in men before and this one seems like a real doozie. Protecting the kids is top priority.

DH handles all the "bad jobs" with her. I dont even open my mouth and ususally leave the county when they are gonna have a talk!!!! BTDT wont go back!!!! DH called me tonight and asked had she called, I told him no. He said he had gone to bed early and turned off phone, had forgotten to set alarm and woke up to do that and she had called 3 times but left no message. Im sure its not about Disney, but more likely to see if SO has been fired offically, (office has had no contact with him either, SO got pissed at something and ran over cell with backhoe!!)
No we dont say a word about him to her, thats offlimits, but dont think we're not watching like a hawk. She lives about 25 miles from us, so we do what checking we can. I have a friend on the police force and hes watching them. Shes clean and sober as far as we know, but the choices she makes are just........losers!!! Will keep the updates coming.

Well all is well here. She finally called and the kids are going. Im so relieved that I cried. Shes been sick and thats the reason she hasnt called. All the crap with the SO has been resolved and actually he was not the one smokin the stuff in the room nor was the contraband his. He just failed to tell on the other guy. The other guy is the one who confessed. I still dont like or trust SO, but in this case hes innocent. So I will have to give him the benefit of the doubt this time.
Thank you all for the well wishes and advice. I dont think I could have enjoyed one second of my trip if I knew those kids were home.
Well from now on, all my posts will be of a happy nature( I hope)

Thank God!! I could not have imagined disapointing those kids with only a few days to go..........the thought of them anticipating a trip for a year, to be denied going would have been horrilbe! I'm so glad it worked out!
