| GRRRRR. Ready to strangle mystep-d!!! kinda long - UPDATED in Reply 9/14 Let me give some background. Step-daughter is 25 yo has 2 children( these are the ones Im taking to WDW with me) We have had several changes to the trip since the beginning. First is was me, DH,DD and her bf and the 2 gkids. Then DH had to back out because of job. Not a deal breaker but disappointed all of us. So I asked step to go. Shes never been anywhere or done anything (same with her kids) She was all excited about it and was getting into planning, then backed out without a really good reason.(Just not a good time) OK no real problem (as we are paying for everyone going) Now the newest wrinkle. Step-d has a SO that is not our cup of tea.(Divorced 3 time and kids everywhere, 2 that he dosent see or support, and one that he does support) He works for my DH (a courtesy for step and her kids) well they( dh's work) popped drug tests on them all and guess who failed?? Yep the SO. Now Step is MAD at dh like it was his call for drug test: tat order came from the office, not him. Dumba@@ shouldnt be "reefin" on the job( or at all). Its been a week and a half since we have talked to grandkids or her, We leave for the world on the 20th and now Im scared that she and that stupid SO will not let the kids go. For some strange reason HE calls the shots in the house. Step-d is always spouting about how HER kids are HER domain and no one outside makes decisions about them but her. I know thats not the case at all. If they keep those kids from going........someone better get here and keep me out of jail cause Ive had it with all the men(i.e. boys) that she drags around my grandbabies and Im just afraid I cant hold my temper anymore. I called her twice on Monday and left voice mail, got no response. I called again last night and she ended my call. Im going to email her today and if no response from her then....I'm really going to be scared. Please hold some happy thoughts for the grand kids. I could not bear them not getting to go as they have been planning this for over a year.

| I'm so sorry. It would be very wrong for the grandkids to have to pay for the SO mistake. I hope it works out for the best.

| It's a shame that so many good people don't learn to "Just say No" until there is a huge consequence! Hopefully, this will be a lesson that ends the consequences here!

| Good Luck............ I really hope they can go. I hate when kids get punished for the bad decisions of their parents. My prayers are with you, and with them.

| Even if I was mad at my parents I would never not let my daughter take that trip. What great grandparents you are for paying for the trip. Hopefully she will come to her sinces.
